³⁹ and above ^(A)the Gate of Ephraim, and by ^(B)the Gate of Yeshanah,^[a] and by ^(C)the Fish Gate and ^(D)the Tower of Hananel and ^(E)the Tower of the Hundred, to ^(F)the Sheep Gate; and they came to a halt at ^(G)the Gate of the Guard.

Rebuilding the Wall

3 Then ^(A)Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built ^(B)the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and ^(C)set its doors. They consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the ^(D)Tower of Hananel.

¹⁶ So the people went out and brought them and made booths for themselves, each ^(A)on his roof, and in their courts and in the courts of the house of God, and in the square at ^(B)the Water Gate and in the square at ^(C)the Gate of Ephraim.

⁶ Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah ^(A)repaired the Gate of Yeshanah.^{[a] (B)}They laid its beams and ^(C)set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

³ The sons of Hassenaah built ^(A)the Fish Gate. ^(B)They laid its beams and ^(C)set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

²⁵ Palal the son of Uzai repaired opposite the buttress and the tower projecting from the upper house of the king at ^(A)the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh

¹³ And Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash, son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem for four hundred cubits,^[a] from ^(A)the Ephraim Gate to ^(B)the Corner Gate.

² Now there is in Jerusalem by ^(A)the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic^[a] called Bethesda,^[b] which has five roofed colonnades.
