⁶ please let Your ear be attentive and ^(A)Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and ^(B)confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.

The Seventy-Weeks Prophecy

²⁰ Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God,

⁴ And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O ^(A)Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,

⁶ For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the eyes of the Lord our God; they have forsaken Him, have ^(A)turned their faces away from the ^[a]dwelling place of the Lord, and turned their backs on Him.

⁴⁰ Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be ^(A)open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayer made in this place.

¹⁷ Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, ^(A)and ^(B)for the Lord’s sake ^[a]cause Your face to shine on ^[b]Your sanctuary, ^(C)which is desolate. ^18 (D)O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes ^(E)and see our desolations, and the city ^(F)which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.
