Nahum 3:8-11

⁸ Are you better than ^[a](A)No-amon,
Which sits along the ^(B)waters of the Nile,
With water surrounding her,
Whose rampart was ^[b]the sea,
Whose wall consisted of ^[c]the sea?
^9 [d](C)Ethiopia was her might,
And Egypt too, without end.
^(D)Put and ^(E)Lubim were among ^[e]her helpers.
¹⁰ Yet she ^(F)became an exile;
She went into captivity;
Also her ^(G)infants were dashed to pieces
^(H)At the head of every street;
They ^(I)cast lots for her honorable men,
And all her great men were bound with fetters.
¹¹ You too will become ^(J)drunk;
You will be ^(K)hidden.
You too will search for a strong defense from the enemy.
