Nahum 3:6-10

^8 (G)Are you better than ^(H)Thebes^[a]
    that sat ^(I)by the Nile,
with water around her,
    her rampart a sea,
    and water her wall?
^9 (J)Cush was her strength;
    Egypt too, and that without limit;
    ^(K)Put and the ^(L)Libyans were her^[b] helpers.

^10 (M)Yet she became an exile;
    she went into captivity;
^(N)her infants were dashed in pieces
    at the head of every street;
for her honored men ^(O)lots were cast,
    ^(P)and all her great men were bound in chains.
