⁵ I am against you,
    says the Lord of hosts,
    and will lift up your skirts over your face,
and I will let nations look on your nakedness
    and kingdoms on your shame.^(A)

²⁶ I myself will lift up your skirts over your face,
    and your shame will be seen.^(A)

²² And if you say in your heart,
    “Why have these things come upon me?”
it is for the greatness of your iniquity
    that your skirts are lifted up
    and you are violated.^(A)

¹⁶ You will be sated with contempt instead of glory.
    Drink, you yourself, and stagger!^[a]
The cup in the Lord’s right hand
    will come around to you,

³ Your nakedness shall be uncovered,

I will take vengeance,
