³ The Lord is ^(A)slow to anger and great in power,
And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
In the ^(B)gale and the storm is His way,
And ^(C)clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
⁴ He ^(D)rebukes the sea and dries it up;
He dries up all the rivers.
^(E)Bashan and Carmel wither,
The blossoms of Lebanon wither.
⁵ Mountains ^(F)quake because of Him,
And the hills ^(G)come apart;
Indeed the earth is ^(H)upheaved by His presence,
The ^(I)world and all the inhabitants in it.
^6 (J)Who can stand before His indignation?
Who can endure the ^(K)burning of His anger?
His ^(L)wrath gushes forth like fire,
And the ^(M)rocks are broken up by Him.
⁷ The Lord is ^(N)good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble,
And ^(O)He knows those who take refuge in Him.
⁸ But with an ^(P)overflowing flood
He will make a complete end of ^[a]its site,
And will pursue His enemies into ^(Q)darkness.
