Nahum 1:12-13

12 Thus says the Lord,
“Though they are at full strength and many,
(A)they will be cut down and pass away.
(B)Though I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you no more.
13 And now (C)I will break his yoke from off you
and will burst your bonds apart.”

The Lord’s Rebuke to Assyria
12 This is what the Lord says:
“No matter how strong they are,[a]
and no matter how numerous,
they will surely be annihilated[b] and pass away.
Though I have afflicted you,[c]
I will do so no more.
13 Now I will break off Assyria’s[d] yoke from you,
and tear apart your shackles.”
