Whatever you (A)devise against the Lord,
He will make a (B)complete end of it.
Distress will not rise up twice.
10 Like tangled (C)thorns,
And like those who are (D)drunken with their drink,
They are (E)consumed
As stubble completely withered.
11 From you has gone forth
One who (F)plotted evil against the Lord,
A [a](G)wicked counselor.

12 Thus says the Lord,

“Though they are at full strength and likewise many,
Even so, they will be (H)cut off and pass away.
Though I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you (I)no longer.
13 “So now, I will (J)break his yoke bar from upon you,
And I will tear off your shackles.”

14 The Lord has issued a command concerning [b]you:
[c]Your name will (K)no longer be perpetuated.
I will cut off [d](L)idol and [e]image
From the house of your gods.
I will prepare your (M)grave,
For you are contemptible.”

15 [f]Behold, (N)on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace!
(O)Celebrate your feasts, O Judah;
Pay your vows.
For (P)never again will the [g]wicked one pass through you;
He is (Q)cut off completely.
