⁵ We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,^(A) and we take captive every thought to make it obedient^(B) to Christ.

¹⁰ “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind^(A) and you will devise an evil scheme.^{(B) 11} You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people^(C)—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.^(D)

²⁵ You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:^(A)
