Os nazireus
6 O Senhor deu mais estas instruções a Moisés para o povo de Israel: 2 “Quando alguém, homem ou mulher, fizer o voto especial de nazireu, consagrando-se a si mesmo ao Senhor de uma forma especial, 3 nunca mais em todo o tempo da sua especial consagração beberá bebida forte alcoolizada, ou vinho, ou vinagre de vinho, nem sequer vinho fresco ou sumo de uvas; nem comerá bagos de uvas, mesmo secas. 4 Não deverá comer nada que venha da vinha, nem as grainhas nem as peles dos bagos.
5 Em todo esse tempo não deverá cortar o cabelo, porque é santo, consagrado ao Senhor; por isso terá de deixar crescer o cabelo. 6 Nunca se aproximará dum corpo morto durante o tempo do seu voto, 7 ainda que seja o corpo do seu pai, mãe, irmão ou irmã; se o fizer, o seu voto ficará sem efeito, porque o cabelo que têm na cabeça representa a sua separação para Deus. 8 É pois consagrado ao Senhor em todo esse período.
9 Se se tiver tornado impuro inadvertidamente, pelo facto de alguém cair morto na sua frente ou perto de si, sete dias mais tarde rapará a cabeça que se tornou impura; e ficará limpo da contaminação resultante de alguém ter morrido perto de si subitamente, sem ter podido prevenir-se. 10 No dia seguinte, no oitavo dia, trará duas rolas ou dois pombos ao sacerdote, à entrada da tenda do encontro. 11 O sacerdote oferecerá uma como expiação de pecado, e a outra como holocausto, fazendo expiação por esse pecado. E a pessoa deverá renovar o seu voto nesse dia, tornando a deixar crescer o cabelo. 12 Os dias anteriores a essa contaminação serão perdidos, não contarão. Deverá recomeçar com um novo voto; terá de trazer um cordeiro macho, de um ano, como oferta de culpa.
13 Na conclusão do período do seu voto de separação, irá até à entrada da tenda do encontro 14 e oferecerá um holocausto ao Senhor, um cordeiro de um ano, sem defeito algum. Oferecerá igualmente uma oferta pelo pecado, uma cordeira de um ano também sem defeito; uma oferta de paz, que será um carneiro sem defeito; 15 e ainda um cesto de pão sem fermento, bolos de farinha fina amassados com azeite, bolachas sem fermento untadas de azeite, e a respetiva oferta de cereais com as ofertas de vinho. 16 O sacerdote apresentará isto perante o Senhor: 17 primeiro a oferta pelo pecado e a oferta a queimar; depois o carneiro em oferta de paz, com o cesto do pão sem fermento; e finalmente os cereais com a oferta de vinho.
18 Então o nazireu rapará o cabelo que lhe cresceu e que era o sinal do seu voto de separação. Isto será feito à entrada da tenda do encontro; depois o cabelo será queimado no fogo, debaixo da oferta de paz.
19 Após a cabeça da pessoa ter sido rapada, o sacerdote tomará a espádua assada do carneiro, um dos bolos feitos sem fermento, uma das bolachas também sem fermento, e porá tudo nas mãos da pessoa. 20 O sacerdote balançará isso, dum lado para o outro, com o gesto de apresentação cerimonial; essas coisas constituem a porção santa reservada ao sacerdote, juntamente com o peito e com a espádua oferecidos na presença do Senhor. Só então, depois disso, poderá de novo o nazireu beber vinho, porque está desligado do seu voto.
21 Estes são os preceitos respeitantes aos nazireus e aos seus sacrifícios na conclusão do período da sua consagração especial. Além destes sacrifícios deverá trazer ainda qualquer outro sacrifício que tiver prometido durante o tempo em que fez o voto de se tornar nazireu.”
A bênção sacerdotal
22 Então o Senhor falou assim a Moisés: 23 “Diz a Aarão e aos seus filhos que será esta a bênção especial que darão ao povo de Israel:
24 ‘Que o Senhor vos abençoe e vos proteja;
25 que a face do Senhor brilhe por vossa causa,
que ele tenha misericórdia de vocês;
26 que vos revele toda a sua boa vontade,
e vos dê a paz.’
27 É assim que Aarão e seus filhos farão descer o meu nome sobre o povo de Israel e eu pessoalmente os abençoarei.”

6 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 2 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel.
“Se alguém do povo, homem ou mulher, fizer o voto especial de nazireu e se consagrar ao Senhor, 3 deixará de beber vinho e outras bebidas fermentadas. Não usará vinagre feito de vinho nem de outras bebidas fermentadas, e não beberá suco de uva nem comerá uvas ou passas. 4 Enquanto estiver sob o voto de nazireu, não beberá nem comerá coisa alguma que venha da videira, nem mesmo sementes ou cascas de uvas.
5 “Enquanto durar o voto, o nazireu será consagrado ao Senhor e não cortará o cabelo. Deixará o cabelo crescer até concluir o voto. 6 Não se aproximará de cadáver enquanto estiver consagrado ao Senhor. 7 Mesmo que o falecido seja seu pai, mãe, irmão ou irmã, o nazireu não se contaminará, pois o cabelo em sua cabeça simboliza sua consagração a Deus. 8 Essa exigência é válida enquanto ele estiver consagrado ao Senhor.
9 “Se alguém cair morto ao lado do nazireu, o cabelo que ele consagrou ficará contaminado. Esperará sete dias e depois raspará a cabeça. Então, estará purificado de sua contaminação. 10 No oitavo dia, levará duas rolinhas ou dois pombinhos para o sacerdote à entrada da tenda do encontro. 11 O sacerdote oferecerá uma das aves como oferta pelo pecado, e a outra, como holocausto. Desse modo, fará expiação pela culpa resultante do contato com o cadáver. O nazireu reafirmará seu compromisso e deixará o cabelo crescer outra vez. 12 Os dias de voto cumpridos antes da contaminação não serão contados. Ele se consagrará novamente ao Senhor por todo o período do voto e apresentará um cordeiro de um ano como oferta pela culpa.
13 “Essa é a lei ritual para o nazireu. Quando chegar ao fim do período de consagração, irá até a entrada da tenda do encontro 14 e trará suas ofertas ao Senhor: um cordeiro de um ano e sem defeito como holocausto, uma cordeira de um ano e sem defeito como oferta pelo pecado, um carneiro sem defeito como oferta de paz, 15 um cesto de pães sem fermento, bolos de farinha da melhor qualidade misturada com azeite e pães finos untados com azeite, junto com as ofertas de cereal e ofertas derramadas. 16 O sacerdote apresentará as ofertas diante do Senhor: primeiro a oferta pelo pecado e o holocausto, 17 depois o carneiro para a oferta de paz, junto com o cesto de pães sem fermento. O sacerdote também apresentará ao Senhor as ofertas de cereal e ofertas derramadas.
18 “Em seguida, o nazireu raspará a cabeça à entrada da tenda do encontro. Pegará o cabelo que consagrou e o colocará no fogo embaixo do sacrifício da oferta de paz. 19 Depois que o nazireu tiver raspado a cabeça, o sacerdote pegará um ombro cozido de carneiro e, de dentro do cesto, pegará um bolo e um pão fino sem fermento e colocará tudo nas mãos do nazireu. 20 Por fim, o sacerdote os moverá para o alto como oferta especial diante do Senhor. Essas são as porções santas para o sacerdote, junto com o peito da oferta movida e a coxa da oferta sagrada movidos diante do Senhor. Depois dessa cerimônia, o nazireu poderá voltar a beber vinho.
21 “Essa é a lei ritual dos nazireus que fazem o voto de apresentar essas ofertas para o Senhor. Se tiverem recursos materiais, apresentarão outras ofertas além dessas. Devem cumprir o voto que fizeram quando se consagraram como nazireus”.
A bênção sacerdotal
22 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 23 “Diga a Arão e a seus filhos que abençoem o povo de Israel com esta bênção especial:
24 ‘Que o Senhor o abençoe e
o proteja.
25 Que o Senhor olhe para você com favor
e lhe mostre bondade.
26 Que o Senhor se agrade de você
e lhe dê paz’.
27 Assim, Arão e seus filhos colocarão meu nome sobre os israelitas, e eu mesmo os abençoarei”.

Law of the Nazirites
6 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When a man or woman makes [a]a special vow, namely, the vow of (A)a [b]Nazirite, to live as a Nazirite for the Lord, 3 he shall (B)abstain from wine and [c]strong drink; he shall [d]consume no vinegar, whether made from wine or strong drink, nor shall he drink any grape juice nor eat fresh or dried grapes. 4 All the days of his consecration he shall not eat anything that is produced from the grape vine, from the seeds even to the skin.
5 ‘All the days of his vow of consecration (C)no razor shall pass over his head. He shall be holy until the days are fulfilled which he lives as a Nazirite for the Lord; he shall let the locks of hair on his head grow long.
6 ‘(D)All the days of his life as a Nazirite for the Lord he shall not come up to a dead person. 7 He (E)shall not make himself unclean for his father or for his mother, for his brother or for his sister, when they die, because his consecration to God is [e]on his head. 8 All the days of his consecration he is holy to the Lord.
9 ‘But if someone dies very suddenly beside him and he defiles his consecrated head of hair, then (F)he shall shave his head on the day when he becomes clean; (G)he shall shave it on the seventh day. 10 Then on the eighth day he shall bring (H)two turtledoves or two young doves to the priest, to the entrance of the tent of meeting. 11 And the priest shall offer (I)one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and make atonement for him [f]regarding his sin because of the dead person. And on that same day he shall consecrate his head, 12 and shall live his days of consecration as a Nazirite for the Lord, and shall bring a male lamb a year old as a guilt offering; but the preceding days will [g]not count, because his consecration was defiled.
13 ‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite (J)when the days of his consecration are fulfilled: he shall bring [h]his offering to the entrance of the tent of meeting. 14 And he shall present his offering to the Lord: one male lamb a year old without defect as a burnt offering, one (K)ewe lamb a year old without defect as a sin offering, one ram without defect as a peace offering, 15 and a basket of (L)unleavened loaves of fine flour mixed with oil and unleavened wafers spread with oil, along with (M)their grain offering and their drink offering. 16 Then the priest shall present them before the Lord and offer his sin offering and his burnt offering. 17 He shall also offer the ram as a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, together with the basket of unleavened bread; the priest shall also offer its grain offering and its drink offering. 18 (N)The Nazirite shall then shave his consecrated head of hair at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and take the consecrated hair of his head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of peace offerings. 19 (O)And the priest shall take the ram’s shoulder when it has been boiled, and one unleavened loaf from the basket and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them on the [i]hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his consecrated hair. 20 Then the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before the Lord. It is holy for the priest, together with the breast offered as a wave offering, and the thigh offered as [j]a contribution; and (P)afterward the Nazirite may drink wine.’
21 “This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to the Lord according to his consecration, in addition to what else [k]he can afford; corresponding to his vow which he makes, so he shall do according to the law of his consecration.”
Aaron’s Benediction
22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘In this way (Q)you shall bless the sons of Israel. You are to say to them:
27 So they shall [m](X)invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and then I will bless them.”

The Nazirite
6 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow(A), a vow of dedication(B) to the Lord as a Nazirite,(C) 3 they must abstain from wine(D) and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar(E) made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes(F) or raisins. 4 As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
5 “‘During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor(G) may be used on their head.(H) They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.
6 “‘Throughout the period of their dedication to the Lord, the Nazirite must not go near a dead body.(I) 7 Even if their own father or mother or brother or sister dies, they must not make themselves ceremonially unclean(J) on account of them, because the symbol of their dedication to God is on their head. 8 Throughout the period of their dedication, they are consecrated to the Lord.
9 “‘If someone dies suddenly in the Nazirite’s presence, thus defiling the hair that symbolizes their dedication,(K) they must shave their head on the seventh day—the day of their cleansing.(L) 10 Then on the eighth day(M) they must bring two doves or two young pigeons(N) to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(O) 11 The priest is to offer one as a sin offering[a](P) and the other as a burnt offering(Q) to make atonement(R) for the Nazirite because they sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. That same day they are to consecrate their head again. 12 They must rededicate themselves to the Lord for the same period of dedication and must bring a year-old male lamb(S) as a guilt offering.(T) The previous days do not count, because they became defiled during their period of dedication.
13 “‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite when the period of their dedication is over.(U) They are to be brought to the entrance to the tent of meeting.(V) 14 There they are to present their offerings to the Lord: a year-old male lamb without defect(W) for a burnt offering, a year-old ewe lamb without defect for a sin offering,(X) a ram(Y) without defect for a fellowship offering,(Z) 15 together with their grain offerings(AA) and drink offerings,(AB) and a basket of bread made with the finest flour and without yeast—thick loaves with olive oil mixed in, and thin loaves brushed with olive oil.(AC)
16 “‘The priest is to present all these(AD) before the Lord(AE) and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.(AF) 17 He is to present the basket of unleavened bread and is to sacrifice the ram as a fellowship offering(AG) to the Lord, together with its grain offering(AH) and drink offering.(AI)
18 “‘Then at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the Nazirite must shave off the hair that symbolizes their dedication.(AJ) They are to take the hair and put it in the fire that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.
19 “‘After the Nazirite has shaved off the hair that symbolizes their dedication, the priest is to place in their hands a boiled shoulder of the ram, and one thick loaf and one thin loaf from the basket, both made without yeast.(AK) 20 The priest shall then wave these before the Lord as a wave offering;(AL) they are holy(AM) and belong to the priest, together with the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented.(AN) After that, the Nazirite may drink wine.(AO)
21 “‘This is the law of the Nazirite(AP) who vows offerings to the Lord in accordance with their dedication, in addition to whatever else they can afford. They must fulfill the vows(AQ) they have made, according to the law of the Nazirite.’”
The Priestly Blessing
22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless(AR) the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “‘“The Lord bless you(AS)
and keep you;(AT)
25 the Lord make his face shine on you(AU)
and be gracious to you;(AV)
26 the Lord turn his face(AW) toward you
and give you peace.(AX)”’
27 “So they will put my name(AY) on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
