A viagem de Israel desde o Egito
33 Estas foram as jornadas da viagem que fizeram os israelitas quando saíram por tropas do Egito sob o comando de Moisés e Arão. 2 Moisés registrou os nomes dos lugares de onde saíam, etapa por etapa, de acordo com a ordem do SENHOR, e estes foram os lugares de cada etapa:
3 Deixaram Ramessés no dia quinze do primeiro mês, no dia depois da Páscoa. Os israelitas saíram vitoriosamente, à vista de todos os egípcios, 4 enquanto os egípcios sepultavam a todos os seus filhos mais velhos, pois o SENHOR os matou. O SENHOR mostrava que também tinha julgado os egípcios.
5 Os israelitas marcharam de Ramessés e acamparam em Sucote.
6 Deixaram Sucote e acamparam em Etã, na margem do deserto.
7 Deixaram Etã e foram para Pi-Hairote, ao leste de Baal-Zefom, e acamparam perto de Migdol.
8 Deixaram Pi-Hairote e marcharam através do mar em direção do deserto. Marcharam durante três dias pelo deserto de Etã e acamparam em Mara.
9 Deixaram Mara e foram a Elim. Em Elim tinha doze nascentes e setenta palmeiras, portanto acamparam ali.
10 Deixaram Elim e acamparam perto do mar Vermelho[a].
11 Deixaram o mar Vermelho e acamparam no deserto de Sim.
12 Deixaram o deserto de Sim e acamparam em Dofca.

37 Deixaram Cades e acamparam em Hor, a montanha que fica nos limites de Edom. 38 O sacerdote Arão subiu ao monte Hor de acordo com a ordem do SENHOR e ali morreu no primeiro dia do quinto mês, quarenta anos depois que os israelitas saíram do Egito. 39 Arão tinha cento e vinte e três anos de idade quando morreu no monte Hor. 40 O rei cananeu de Arade, que morava no sul de Canaã, ouviu dizer que vinham os israelitas, 41 que deixaram o monte Hor e acamparam em Zalmona.
42 Deixaram Zalmona e acamparam em Punom.
43 Deixaram Punom e acamparam em Obote.
44 Deixaram Obote e acamparam em Ijé-Abarim, na fronteira de Moabe.
45 Deixaram Ijé-Abarim e acamparam em Dibom-Gade.
46 Deixaram Dibom-Gade e acamparam em Almon-Diblataim.
47 Deixaram Almon-Diblataim e acamparam nas montanhas de Abarim, perto de Nebo.
48 Deixaram as montanhas de Abarim e acamparam nas planícies de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, perto de Jericó. 49 O acampamento se estendia ao comprimento do rio Jordão, nas planícies de Moabe, desde Bete-Jesimote até Abel-Sitim.
50 O SENHOR falou a Moisés nesse lugar e disse:
51 —Diga aos israelitas que quando atravessarem o rio Jordão para a terra de Canaã, 52 deverão expulsar todos os seus habitantes, destruir todas as suas estátuas, os seus ídolos de metal e todos os seus lugares de culto. 53 Depois vocês tomarão possessão do território e habitarão ali porque eu dei essa terra para que vocês a possuam. 54 Repartirão a terra entre vocês por sorteio, de acordo com os seus clãs. Vai ser dada mais terra aos clãs grandes e menos aos pequenos. O território de cada clã será o que corresponda de acordo com o sorteio. A divisão será feita conforme os clãs dos seus antepassados.
55 —Deverão expulsar todos os habitantes dessa terra. Se não fizerem isso, os que fiquem atormentarão vocês como farpas nos olhos ou como espinhos no corpo; causarão dificuldades a vocês na terra onde irão morar. 56 Se não os expulsarem dali, eu farei com vocês o que tinha planejado fazer com eles.

33 Este é o percurso que os israelitas fizeram quando saíram do Egito, organizados segundo suas divisões, sob a liderança de Moisés e Arão. 2 Por ordem do Senhor, Moisés guardou um registro escrito de seu progresso. Estas são as etapas da jornada, identificadas pelos lugares onde pararam ao longo do caminho.
3 Os israelitas partiram da cidade de Ramessés no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês,[a] na manhã seguinte à primeira celebração da Páscoa. Partiram triunfantemente, à vista de todos os egípcios. 4 Enquanto isso, os egípcios sepultavam o filho mais velho de suas famílias que o Senhor havia ferido mortalmente na noite anterior. Naquela noite, o Senhor derrotou os deuses do Egito com grandes atos de julgamento.
5 Depois de partirem de Ramessés, os israelitas acamparam em Sucote.
6 Saíram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, à beira do deserto.
7 Saíram de Etã e voltaram para Pi-Hairote, de frente para Baal-Zefom, e acamparam perto de Migdol.
8 Saíram de Pi-Hairote,[b] atravessaram o mar Vermelho[c] e chegaram ao deserto. Viajaram três dias pelo deserto de Etã e acamparam em Mara.
9 Saíram de Mara e acamparam em Elim, onde havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras.

40 O rei cananeu de Arade, que vivia no Neguebe, na terra de Canaã, soube que os israelitas se aproximavam de sua terra.
41 Saíram do monte Hor e acamparam em Zalmona.
42 Saíram de Zalmona e acamparam em Punom.

50 Enquanto estavam acampados perto do rio Jordão, nas campinas de Moabe, do lado oposto de Jericó, o Senhor disse a Moisés: 51 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Quando atravessarem o rio Jordão para entrar na terra de Canaã, 52 expulsem todos os povos que vivem ali. Destruam todas as imagens esculpidas ou fundidas e derrubem todos os santuários idólatras. 53 Tomem posse da terra e estabeleçam-se nela, pois eu lhes dei a terra para a ocuparem. 54 Distribuam a terra entre os clãs por sorteio e de forma proporcional ao tamanho de cada clã. Os clãs maiores receberão uma porção maior, e os clãs menores, uma porção menor. A decisão por sorteio é definitiva. Assim, as porções de terra serão distribuídas entre as tribos de seus antepassados. 55 Mas, se vocês não expulsarem os povos que vivem na terra, aqueles que restarem serão como farpas em seus olhos e espinhos em suas costas. Serão um tormento para vocês na terra em que habitarem. 56 E eu farei a vocês aquilo que planejava fazer a eles”.

33 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the Lord had smitten among them: upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.
5 And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.
6 And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon: and they pitched before Migdol.
8 And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days'journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.
9 And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.

40 And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

From Egypt to Moab
33 These are the travels of the people of Israel, when Moses and Aaron led them out from the land of Egypt by their armies. 2 Moses wrote down the starting places of their travels, as the Lord told him. These are their travels by their starting places. 3 They traveled from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover the people of Israel started out strong in heart in front of all the Egyptians. 4 The Egyptians were burying all their first-born whom the Lord had killed among them. The Lord had punished their gods also.
5 Then the people of Israel traveled from Rameses and stayed in Succoth. 6 They traveled from Succoth and stayed in Etham, beside the desert. 7 They went from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, east of Baal-zephon, and stayed at Migdol. 8 Then they traveled from Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert. They traveled for three days in the desert of Etham, and stayed at Marah. 9 They left Marah and came to Elim. There were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees in Elim, and they stayed there. 10 Then they traveled from Elim and stayed by the Red Sea. 11 They left the Red Sea and stayed in the Desert of Sin. 12 They traveled from the Desert of Sin, and stayed at Dophkah. 13 Then they left Dophkah and stayed at Alush. 14 They traveled from Alush and stayed at Rephidim. It was there that the people had no water to drink. 15 They went from Rephidim and stayed in the Desert of Sinai. 16 They traveled from the Desert of Sinai, and stayed at Kibroth-hattaavah.
17 They went from Kibroth-hattaavah and stayed at Hazeroth. 18 They left Hazeroth and stayed at Rithmah. 19 Then they went from Rithmah and stayed at Rimmon-perez. 20 They traveled from Rimmon-perez, and stayed at Libnah. 21 They left Libnah, and stayed at Rissah. 22 Then they went from Rissah and stayed at Kehelathah. 23 They went from Kehelathah and stayed at Mount Shepher. 24 They traveled from Mount Shepher and stayed at Haradah. 25 They left Haradah and stayed at Makheloth. 26 Then they traveled from Makheloth, and stayed at Tahath. 27 They traveled from Tahath, and stayed at Terah. 28 They went from Terah and stayed at Mithkah. 29 They left Mithkah and stayed at Hashmonah. 30 Then they left Hashmonah and stayed at Moseroth. 31 They went from Moseroth and stayed at Benejaakan. 32 They traveled from Benejaakan, and stayed at Hor-haggidgad. 33 They went from Hor-haggidgad and stayed at Jotbathah. 34 Then they left Jotbathah and stayed at Abronah. 35 They went from Abronah and stayed at Ezion-geber. 36 They went from Ezion-geber and stayed in the Desert of Zin, that is, Kadesh. 37 And they traveled from Kadesh, and stayed at Mount Hor, beside the land of Edom.
38 Then Aaron the religious leader went up to Mount Hor, as the Lord told him. He died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had left the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month. 39 Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel.
41 Then the people traveled from Mount Hor, and stayed at Zalmonah. 42 They left Zalmonah, and stayed at Punon. 43 They went from Punon and stayed at Oboth. 44 Then they left Oboth and stayed at Iye-abarim, beside Moab. 45 They traveled from Iyim, and stayed at Dibon-gad. 46 They went from Dibon-gad and stayed at Almon-diblathaim. 47 They left Almon-diblathaim and stayed in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo. 48 They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and stayed in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho. 49 And they stayed by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.
50 Then the Lord said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho, 51 “Say to the people of Israel, ‘You will cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan. 52 Then drive out all the people living in the land in front of you. Destroy all their cut stones, and all their man-made gods, and all their high places. 53 Take the land for your own and live in it. For I have given the land to you. 54 Your families will receive land by drawing names. The larger families should be given more land. The smaller families should be given less land. When a man’s name is drawn, that land will be his. You will receive land by the family groups of your fathers. 55 Drive out the people who live in the land in front of you. If you do not, then those who are allowed to stay will be like sharp pieces in your eyes and like thorns in your sides. They will trouble you in the land where you live. 56 And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.’”
