30 De esta manera Moisés instruyó a los israelitas conforme a todo lo que el Señor le había mandado.
Normas sobre promesas y juramentos
2 Se dirigió Moisés a los líderes de las tribus israelitas y les dijo:
— Esto es lo que el Señor ha mandado. 3 Si alguien hace una promesa al Señor o se impone con juramento una obligación a sí mismo, no quebrantará su palabra, sino que cumplirá aquello a lo que se comprometió.
4 Si una mujer, que es aún joven y reside en la casa de su padre, hace una promesa al Señor, 5 y su padre, conocedor de la promesa y de la obligación que ha asumido, no pone objeción a ello, todas las promesas de la joven serán firmes y los compromisos que haya asumido serán válidos. 6 Pero si, al enterarse de las promesas que ha hecho y de las obligaciones que ha asumido, su padre se opone, entonces ni las promesas hechas ni las obligaciones asumidas serán firmes y el Señor no se lo tendrá en cuenta, por cuanto su padre se opuso.
7 Puede suceder que la joven se case mientras las promesas hechas y las obligaciones asumidas están vigentes; 8 si su marido se entera y no pone objeción, tanto las promesas hechas como las obligaciones asumidas serán firmes. 9 Pero si su marido pone objeción al enterarse, entonces la promesa que hizo y la obligación que asumió la esposa quedarán anuladas y el Señor no se lo tendrá en cuenta.
10 La promesa o cualquier otro compromiso que haya asumido una viuda o repudiada, será firme. 11 Si hizo una promesa o se comprometió con juramento mientras permanecía en casa de su marido 12 sin que este, al enterarse, haya puesto objeción, entonces tanto las promesas hechas como las obligaciones asumidas serán firmes. 13 Pero si su marido, al enterarse, las anuló, entonces todas las promesas salidas de sus labios y todas las las obligaciones asumidas serán nulas; el Señor no se lo tendrá en cuenta por cuanto su marido las anuló. 14 Cualquier promesa o juramento por el que la esposa se obligue a ayunar, podrá ser confirmado o anulado por su marido. 15 Si, pasados dos días después de enterarse, su marido no pone objeción, se entiende que ha confirmado todas las promesas hechas y todas obligaciones asumidas. 16 Pero si las anula pasado un tiempo después de haberse enterado, entonces cargará con la culpa que le correspondía a la esposa.
17 Estas son las normas que el Señor prescribió a Moisés acerca del marido y su esposa, y acerca del padre y su hija mientras esta es aún joven y permanece en la casa de su padre.

Ley de los votos
30 Habló Moisés a los príncipes de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Esto es lo que Jehová ha mandado. 2 Cuando alguno hiciere voto a Jehová, o hiciere juramento ligando su alma con obligación, no quebrantará su palabra; hará conforme a todo lo que salió de su boca.(A) 3 Mas la mujer, cuando hiciere voto a Jehová, y se ligare con obligación en casa de su padre, en su juventud; 4 si su padre oyere su voto, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, y su padre callare a ello, todos los votos de ella serán firmes, y toda obligación con que hubiere ligado su alma, firme será. 5 Mas si su padre le vedare el día que oyere todos sus votos y sus obligaciones con que ella hubiere ligado su alma, no serán firmes; y Jehová la perdonará, por cuanto su padre se lo vedó. 6 Pero si fuere casada e hiciere votos, o pronunciare de sus labios cosa con que obligue su alma; 7 si su marido lo oyere, y cuando lo oyere callare a ello, los votos de ella serán firmes, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, firme será. 8 Pero si cuando su marido lo oyó, le vedó, entonces el voto que ella hizo, y lo que pronunció de sus labios con que ligó su alma, será nulo; y Jehová la perdonará. 9 Pero todo voto de viuda o repudiada, con que ligare su alma, será firme. 10 Y si hubiere hecho voto en casa de su marido, y hubiere ligado su alma con obligación de juramento, 11 si su marido oyó, y calló a ello y no le vedó, entonces todos sus votos serán firmes, y toda obligación con que hubiere ligado su alma, firme será. 12 Mas si su marido los anuló el día que los oyó, todo lo que salió de sus labios cuanto a sus votos, y cuanto a la obligación de su alma, será nulo; su marido los anuló, y Jehová la perdonará. 13 Todo voto, y todo juramento obligándose a afligir el alma, su marido lo confirmará, o su marido lo anulará. 14 Pero si su marido callare a ello de día en día, entonces confirmó todos sus votos, y todas las obligaciones que están sobre ella; los confirmó, por cuanto calló a ello el día que lo oyó. 15 Mas si los anulare después de haberlos oído, entonces él llevará el pecado de ella.
16 Estas son las ordenanzas que Jehová mandó a Moisés entre el varón y su mujer, y entre el padre y su hija durante su juventud en casa de su padre.

30 Then Moses spoke to (A)the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the word which Yahweh has commanded. 2 (B)If a man makes a vow to Yahweh or swears an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
3 “Also if a woman makes a vow to Yahweh and binds herself by an obligation in her father’s house in her youth, 4 and her father hears her vow and her obligation by which she has bound herself, and her father [a]says nothing to her, then all her vows shall stand, and every obligation by which she has bound herself shall stand. 5 But if her father should forbid her on the day he hears of it, none of her vows or her obligations by which she has bound herself shall stand; and Yahweh will pardon her because her father had forbidden her.
6 “However, if she should [b]marry while [c]under her vows or the rash statement of her lips by which she has bound herself, 7 and her husband hears of it and says nothing to her on the day he hears it, then her vows shall stand, and her obligations by which she has bound herself shall stand. 8 But if, on the day her husband hears of it, he forbids her, then he shall annul her vow which [d]she is under and the rash statement of her lips by which she has bound herself; and Yahweh will pardon her.
9 “But the vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her. 10 However, if she vowed in her husband’s house or bound herself by an obligation with an oath, 11 and her husband heard it but said nothing to her and did not forbid her, then all her vows shall stand, and every obligation by which she bound herself shall stand. 12 But if her husband indeed annuls them on the day he hears them, then whatever proceeds out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning the obligation of herself shall not stand; her husband has annulled them, and Yahweh will pardon her.
13 “Every vow and every binding oath to humble herself, her husband may cause it to stand, or her husband may annul it. 14 But if her husband indeed says nothing to her from day to day, then he causes all her vows or all her obligations which are on her to stand; he has caused them to stand because he said nothing to her on the day he heard them. 15 But if he indeed annuls them after he has heard them, then he shall bear her guilt.”
16 These are the statutes which Yahweh commanded Moses, as between a man and his wife, and as between a father and his daughter, while she is in her youth in her father’s house.
