12 ¶ Y hablaron María y Aarón contra Moisés a causa de la mujer etíope que había tomado; porque él había tomado mujer etíope.
2 Y dijeron: ¿Solamente por Moisés ha hablado el SEÑOR? ¿No ha hablado también por nosotros? Y lo oyó el SEÑOR.
3 Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra.
4 Y luego dijo el SEÑOR a Moisés, a Aarón, y a María: Salid vosotros tres al tabernáculo del testimonio. Y salieron ellos tres.
5 Entonces el SEÑOR descendió en la columna de la nube, y se puso a la puerta del tabernáculo, y llamó a Aarón y a María; y salieron ambos.
6 Y él les dijo: Oíd ahora mis palabras: si tuviereis profeta del SEÑOR, le apareceré en visión, en sueños hablaré con él.
7 No así a mi esclavo Moisés, que es fiel en toda mi casa.
8 Boca a boca hablaré con él, y de vista; no por enigmas, él verá la semejanza del SEÑOR; ¿por qué, pues, no tuvisteis temor de hablar contra mi esclavo Moisés?
9 Entonces el furor del SEÑOR se encendió en ellos; y se fue.
10 Y la nube se apartó del tabernáculo; y he aquí que María era leprosa como la nieve; y miró Aarón a María, y he aquí que estaba leprosa.
11 Y dijo Aarón a Moisés: Te ruego, señor mío, no pongas ahora sobre nosotros pecado; porque locamente lo hemos hecho, y hemos pecado.
12 No sea ella ahora como el que sale muerto del vientre de su madre, consumida la mitad de su carne.
13 Entonces Moisés clamó al SEÑOR, diciendo: Te ruego, oh Dios, que la sanes ahora.
14 Respondió el SEÑOR a Moisés: Pues si su padre hubiera escupido en su cara, ¿no se avergonzaría por siete días? Sea echada fuera del campamento por siete días, y después se reunirá.
15 Así María fue echada del campamento siete días; y el pueblo no pasó adelante hasta que se le reunió María.
16 Y después partió el pueblo de Hazerot, y acamparon en el desierto de Parán.

María y Aarón critican a Moisés
12 María y Aarón empezaron a hablar mal de Moisés, porque éste se había casado con una mujer etiope. 2 Además dijeron: «El Señor no ha hablado solamente con Moisés; también ha hablado con nosotros.» Y el Señor lo oyó.
3 En realidad, Moisés era el hombre más humilde del mundo. 4 Por eso el Señor les dijo a Moisés, Aarón y María: «Vayan ustedes tres a la tienda del encuentro.»
Los tres fueron allá. 5 Entonces el Señor bajó en una espesa nube y se colocó a la entrada de la tienda; luego llamó a Aarón y a María, y cuando ellos se presentaron 6 el Señor les dijo: «Escuchen esto que les voy a decir: Cuando hay entre ustedes un profeta de mi parte, yo me comunico con él en visiones y le hablo en sueños; 7 pero con mi siervo Moisés no lo hago así. Él es el más fiel de todos mis siervos, 8 y con él hablo cara a cara y en un lenguaje claro. Y si él me ve cara a cara, ¿cómo se atreven ustedes a hablar mal de él?»
9 El Señor se enojó mucho con ellos, y se fue. 10 Y en cuanto la nube se alejó de la tienda, María se puso leprosa, con la piel toda blanca. Cuando Aarón se volvió para mirar a María, y vio que estaba leprosa, 11 le dijo a Moisés: «Por favor, mi señor, no nos castigues por este pecado que tontamente hemos cometido. 12 No permitas que ella quede como una criatura muerta antes de nacer, que sale con la piel medio deshecha.»
13 Entonces Moisés suplicó al Señor: «Por favor, oh Dios, te ruego que la sanes.»
14 Y el Señor le respondió: «Si su padre le escupiera en la cara, quedaría deshonrada durante siete días. Pues entonces, que la echen fuera del campamento durante siete días, y después podrá volver.»
15 Y así María fue echada fuera del campamento durante siete días. Mientras tanto, el pueblo no se movió de allí. 16 En cuanto María se reunió con ellos, se pusieron en camino desde Haserot, y acamparon en el desierto de Parán.

Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses
12 Miriam(A) and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife,(B) for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?”(C) And the Lord heard this.(D)
3 (Now Moses was a very humble man,(E) more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
4 At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud;(F) he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:
“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal(G) myself to them in visions,(H)
I speak to them in dreams.(I)
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;(J)
he is faithful in all my house.(K)
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;(L)
he sees the form of the Lord.(M)
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”(N)
9 The anger of the Lord burned against them,(O) and he left them.(P)
10 When the cloud lifted from above the tent,(Q) Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became as white as snow.(R) Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,(S) 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.(T) 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!(U)”
14 The Lord replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face,(V) would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp(W) for seven days; after that she can be brought back.” 15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp(X) for seven days,(Y) and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
16 After that, the people left Hazeroth(Z) and encamped in the Desert of Paran.(AA)
