⁷ They *said to Him, “^(A)Why, then, did Moses command to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

²⁹ But Abraham *said, ‘They have ^[a](A)Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’

²⁷ Then beginning ^[a]with ^(A)Moses and ^[b]with all the ^(B)Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.

¹⁷ For ^(A)the Law was given through Moses; ^(B)grace and ^(C)truth ^[a]were realized through Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ “^(A)Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you ^(B)seeking to kill Me?”

²² Moses said, ‘^(A)The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you.

²³ When they had set a day for ^[a]Paul, people came to him at ^(A)his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly ^(B)testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, ^(C)from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.

⁵ For Moses writes of the righteousness that is ^[a]based on the Law, that the person who performs ^[b]them ^(A)will live by ^[c]them.
