13 După ce au plecat ei, un înger al Domnului i s-a arătat în vis lui Iosif şi i-a zis: „Scoală-te, ia Copilul şi pe mama Lui şi fugi în Egipt! Să rămâi acolo până când îţi voi spune eu, căci Irod va căuta Copilul ca să-L omoare!“
14 Iosif s-a sculat, a luat Copilul şi pe mama Lui şi a plecat în timpul nopţii în Egipt, 15 unde a rămas până la moartea lui Irod, ca să se împlinească ceea ce a spus Domnul prin profetul care zice: „L-am chemat pe Fiul Meu din Egipt“[a].

13 După ce au plecat magii, un înger al Domnului se arată în vis lui Iosif şi-i zice: „Scoală-te, ia Pruncul şi pe mama Lui, fugi în Egipt şi rămâi acolo până îţi voi spune eu, căci Irod are să caute Pruncul ca să-L omoare”. 14 Iosif s-a sculat, a luat Pruncul şi pe mama lui, noaptea, şi a plecat în Egipt. 15 Acolo a rămas până la moartea lui Irod, ca să se împlinească ce fusese vestit de Domnul prin prorocul care zice: „Am chemat pe Fiul Meu din(A) Egipt”.

The Escape to Egypt
13 When they had gone, an angel(A) of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.(B) “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”(C)
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled(D) what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”[a](E)
