Mensaje contra los malos gobernantes
3 Escuchen ahora, gobernantes y jefes de Israel,
¿acaso no corresponde a ustedes
saber lo que es la justicia?
2 En cambio, odian el bien y aman el mal;
despellejan a mi pueblo
y le dejan los huesos pelados.
3 Se comen vivo a mi pueblo;
le arrancan la piel y le rompen los huesos;
lo tratan como si fuera carne para la olla.
4 Un día llamarán ustedes al Señor,
pero él no les contestará.
En aquel tiempo se esconderá de ustedes
por las maldades que han cometido.
Mensaje contra los profetas engañadores
5 Mi pueblo sigue caminos equivocados
por culpa de los profetas que lo engañan,
que anuncian paz a quienes les dan de comer
pero declaran la guerra
a quienes no les llenan la boca.
El Señor dice a esos profetas:
6 «No volverán ustedes a tener
visiones proféticas en la noche
ni a predecir el futuro en la oscuridad.»
El sol se pondrá para esos profetas,
y el día se les oscurecerá.
7 Esos videntes y adivinos
quedarán en completo ridículo.
Todos ellos se quedarán callados
al no recibir respuesta de Dios.
8 En cambio, a mí, el espíritu del Señor
me llena de fuerza, justicia y valor,
para echarle en cara a Israel su rebeldía y su pecado.
Ruina de Jerusalén
9 Escuchen esto ahora, gobernantes y jefes de Israel,
ustedes que odian la justicia
y tuercen todo lo que está derecho,
10 que construyen Jerusalén, la ciudad del monte Sión,
sobre la base del crimen y la injusticia.
11 Los jueces de la ciudad se dejan sobornar,
los sacerdotes enseñan sólo por dinero
y los profetas venden sus predicciones
alegando que el Señor los apoya, y diciendo:
«El Señor está con nosotros;
nada malo nos puede suceder.»
12 Por lo tanto, por culpa de ustedes,
Jerusalén, la ciudad del monte Sión,
va a quedar convertida en barbecho,
en un montón de ruinas,
y el monte del templo se cubrirá de maleza.

Leaders and Prophets Rebuked
3 Then I said,
“Listen, you leaders(A) of Jacob,
you rulers of Israel.
Should you not embrace justice,
2 you who hate good and love evil;
who tear the skin from my people
and the flesh from their bones;(B)
3 who eat my people’s flesh,(C)
strip off their skin
and break their bones in pieces;(D)
who chop(E) them up like meat for the pan,
like flesh for the pot?(F)”
4 Then they will cry out to the Lord,
but he will not answer them.(G)
At that time he will hide his face(H) from them
because of the evil they have done.(I)
5 This is what the Lord says:
“As for the prophets
who lead my people astray,(J)
they proclaim ‘peace’(K)
if they have something to eat,
but prepare to wage war against anyone
who refuses to feed them.
6 Therefore night will come over you, without visions,
and darkness, without divination.(L)
The sun will set for the prophets,(M)
and the day will go dark for them.(N)
7 The seers will be ashamed(O)
and the diviners disgraced.(P)
They will all cover(Q) their faces(R)
because there is no answer from God.(S)”
8 But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the Lord,
and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
to Israel his sin.(T)
9 Hear this, you leaders of Jacob,
you rulers of Israel,
who despise justice
and distort all that is right;(U)
10 who build(V) Zion with bloodshed,(W)
and Jerusalem with wickedness.(X)
11 Her leaders judge for a bribe,(Y)
her priests teach for a price,(Z)
and her prophets tell fortunes for money.(AA)
Yet they look(AB) for the Lord’s support and say,
“Is not the Lord among us?
No disaster will come upon us.”(AC)
12 Therefore because of you,
Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,(AD)
the temple(AE) hill a mound overgrown with thickets.(AF)

Domsord över folkets ledare
3 Jag sa:
”Lyssna, ni Jakobs ledare,
ni styresmän för Israels folk!
Ni borde väl veta vad som är rätt,
2 men ni hatar det goda och älskar det onda.
Ni sliter skinnet av dem
och köttet av deras ben,
3 äter mitt folks kött,
sliter av deras skinn,
krossar deras ben, styckar dem
och lägger dem som kött[a] i grytan,
som en kötträtt i pannan.”
4 Sedan ropar de till Herren,
men han svarar dem inte.
Han ska dölja sitt ansikte för dem
för det onda de har gjort.
5 Så säger Herren om profeterna
som leder mitt folk vilse:
”När man matar dem
ropar de: ’Frid!’
Men mot den som inte
stoppar något i deras mun
förklarar de krig.
6 En natt utan syner ska därför komma över er,
och ett mörker utan spådomar.
Solen ska gå ner för profeterna
och dagen bli mörk för dem.
7 Siarna ska stå där med skam
och spåmännen blygas.
Alla ska de dölja sitt ansikte,
när Gud inte ger något svar.”
8 Men jag är fylld med kraft,
med Herrens Ande,
rätt och styrka,
jag kan förkunna för Jakob hans överträdelse
och för Israel dess synd.
9 Lyssna på detta, ni ledare för Jakobs släkt,
ni styresmän för Israels folk,
ni som avskyr rättvisa,
och förvränger det rätta,
10 ni som bygger Sion med mord
och Jerusalem med gudlöshet.
11 Stadens ledare dömer för mutor,
dess präster tar betalt för sin vägledning,
och dess profeter spår för pengar.
Ändå stöder de sig på Herren och säger:
Ӏr inte Herren mitt ibland oss?
Inget ont kan komma över oss.”
12 Det är på grund av er
som Sion ska plöjas upp som en åker,
Jerusalem förvandlas till en stenhög
och tempelberget till en skogbevuxen höjd.
