4 És lészen: az utolsó idõben az Úr házának hegye a hegyek fölé helyeztetik, és felülemelkedik az a halmokon, és népek özönlenek reá.
2 Pogányok is sokan mennek, és mondják: Jertek, menjünk fel az Úr hegyére és a Jákób Istenének házához, hogy megtanítson minket az õ útaira, és járjunk az õ ösvényein! Mert Sionból jõ ki a törvény, és az Úr beszéde Jeruzsálembõl.
3 És sok népek között ítéletet tészen, és megfedd erõs nemzeteket nagy messze [földig] és fegyvereiket kapákká kovácsolják, dárdáikat pedig sarlókká; nép népre fegyvert nem emel, és hadakozást többé nem tanulnak.
4 És kiki nyugszik az õ szõlõje alatt és fügefája alatt, és senki meg nem rettenti õket, mert a Seregek Urának szája szólott.
5 Mert minden nép a maga istenének nevében jár, és mi is a mi Urunk Istenünk nevében járunk örökkön örökké.
6 Azon a napon, azt mondja az Úr, összegyûjtöm a sántát, és összeszedem az elszéledetteket, és a kiket megsanyargattam.
7 És a sántát maradékká teszem, az elszélesztettet pedig erõs nemzetté, és az Úr uralkodik rajtok a Sion hegyén mostantól fogva mindörökké.
8 És te nyájnak tornya, Sion leányának vára! Eljõ tehozzád és elérkezik az elõbbi hatalom, a Jeruzsálem leányának birodalma.
9 Miért kiáltasz hát kiáltva? Nincsen-é közötted király? Elveszett-é a te tanácsadód, hogy úgy elfogott a fájdalom, mint a gyermek-szûlõt?!
10 Gyötrõdj és kinlódj, Sionnak leánya, mint a gyermek-szülõ! Mert ímé, kimégy a városból, és a mezõn tanyázol, és egészen Bábelig mégysz. Ott szabadíttatol meg; ott vált ki téged az Úr, ellenségednek kezébõl.
11 Mert ímé, sok nemzetség gyûlt össze ellened, a kik ezt mondják: Legyen szentségtelen, és legeltessük szemeinket a Sionon!
12 De õk nem tudják az Úr gondolatait és nem értik az õ szándékát, hogy összegyûjti õket, mint a kévét a szérûre.
13 Kelj fel és csépelj, Sionnak leánya! Mert vassá teszem a te szarvaidat, körmeidet pedig aczéllá teszem, és széttiporsz sok népeket, és rablott kincseiket az Úrnak áldozom, javaikat pedig az egész föld Urának.

Jöjjetek, menjünk föl az Örökkévaló hegyére!(A)
4 Az idők végén[a]
az Örökkévaló házának hegye
fölülemelkedik
a legmagasabb hegyeken,
messze kimagaslik
a dombok közül,
s hozzá gyűlnek a nemzetek.
2 Tömegek özönlenek hozzá,
s így hívja egyik a másikat:
„Jöjjetek, menjünk fel
az Örökkévaló hegyére,
Jákób Istenének házához,
hogy tanítson bennünket útjaira,
s járhassunk ösvényein!”
Mert Sionból származik a tanítás,
Jeruzsálemből jön
az Örökkévaló szava.
3 Igazságosan ítél
a nemzetek között,
és megfenyít sok erős
és messze lakó népet,
hogy kardjukból
ekét kovácsoljanak,
lándzsáikból
szőlőmetsző késeket.
Nép a népre
többé kardot nem emel,
fiait harcra már nem tanítja soha.
4 Békességben és jólétben
élvezik majd kertjeik gyümölcsét,
a szőlőt és fügét,
s nem kell félniük semmitől.
Így lesz, mert az Örökkévaló,
a Seregek Ura mondta ezt!
5 Hiszen minden nép
a maga istenének uralma alatt él,
de mi az Örökkévalót,
Istenünket követjük,[b]
és uralma alatt élünk örökké!
Az Örökkévaló fog uralkodni a Sionon
6 „Abban az időben
— azt mondja az Örökkévaló —
összegyűjtöm a sántákat,
összeszedem a szétszórtakat,
akiket megbüntettem.
7 A sántákat maradékká teszem,
a szétszórtakat[c] erős nemzetté,
és az Örökkévaló uralkodik majd
rajtuk Sion hegyén
attól fogva mindörökké.
8 Te pedig, nyájnak őrtornya[d],
Sion népének hegye,
visszatér hozzád a korábbi hatalom,
Jeruzsálem népének királyi uralma.”
Prófécia a babiloni fogságról
9 Miért kiáltozol hát oly keservesen?
Talán nincs közötted királyod?
Vagy elvesztek tanácsadóid,
hogy úgy elfogott a fájdalom,
mint a szülő asszonyt a vajúdás?
10 Vajúdj és gyötrődj, Sion leánya,
mint a szülő asszony,
mert el kell hagynod városod,
és a mezőn tanyázol,
Babilóniába hurcolnak titeket!
De onnan is megmenekülsz,
kivált téged az Örökkévaló
ellenséged kezéből,
és megszabadít!
Sion népe, csépelj!
11 Sok nemzet gyűlt össze ellened,
s ezt mondják: „Rontsunk rá,
teperjük a földre,
legeltessük szemünket
a Sion romjain!”
12 De ők nem értik
az Örökkévaló gondolatát,
nem ismerik terveit!
Mert az Örökkévaló
akarta őket összegyűjteni,
mint kévéket a szérűre,
amikor eljön a cséplés ideje.
13 Olyan erős leszel, Sion népe,
mint vas-szarvú,
bronz-patájú bivaly!
Zúzd össze a nemzeteket,
taposd meg és csépeld őket,
mint a búzát a szérűn!
Gazdagságukat pedig
add az Örökkévalónak,
vagyonukat
az Egész Föld Urának!

The Mountain of the Lord(A)
4 In the last days
the mountain(B) of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,(C)
and peoples will stream to it.(D)
2 Many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,(E)
to the temple of the God of Jacob.(F)
He will teach us(G) his ways,(H)
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law(I) will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 He will judge between many peoples
and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.(J)
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.(K)
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war(L) anymore.(M)
4 Everyone will sit under their own vine
and under their own fig tree,(N)
and no one will make them afraid,(O)
for the Lord Almighty has spoken.(P)
5 All the nations may walk
in the name of their gods,(Q)
but we will walk in the name of the Lord
our God for ever and ever.(R)
The Lord’s Plan
6 “In that day,” declares the Lord,
“I will gather the lame;(S)
I will assemble the exiles(T)
and those I have brought to grief.(U)
7 I will make the lame my remnant,(V)
those driven away a strong nation.(W)
The Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion(X)
from that day and forever.(Y)
8 As for you, watchtower of the flock,
stronghold[a] of Daughter Zion,
the former dominion will be restored(Z) to you;
kingship will come to Daughter Jerusalem.(AA)”
9 Why do you now cry aloud—
have you no king[b](AB)?
Has your ruler[c] perished,
that pain seizes you like that of a woman in labor?(AC)
10 Writhe in agony, Daughter Zion,
like a woman in labor,
for now you must leave the city
to camp in the open field.
You will go to Babylon;(AD)
there you will be rescued.
There the Lord will redeem(AE) you
out of the hand of your enemies.
11 But now many nations
are gathered against you.
They say, “Let her be defiled,
let our eyes gloat(AF) over Zion!”
12 But they do not know
the thoughts of the Lord;
they do not understand his plan,(AG)
that he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
13 “Rise and thresh,(AH) Daughter Zion,
for I will give you horns of iron;
I will give you hooves of bronze,
and you will break to pieces many nations.”(AI)
You will devote their ill-gotten gains to the Lord,(AJ)
their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.

2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.
5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
6 In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
12 But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
