7 Woe is me, for I am as the summer gatherings, as the grapes of the vintage. There is no cluster to eat. My soul desired the first ripe fruits.
2 The good man has perished from the Earth, and there is no one righteous among men. They all lie in wait for blood. Every man hunts his brother with a net.
3 To make good for the evil of both their hands, the prince asks and the judge judges for a reward. And the great man speaks out the corruption of his soul. So they weave it together.
4 The best of them is as a brier. And the most righteous of them is sharper than a thorn-hedge. The day of your watchmen and your visitation comes. Then shall be their confusion.
5 Do not trust in a friend, or put confidence in a counselor. Keep the doors of your mouth from she who lies in your bosom.
6 For the son reviles the father. The daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore, I will look to the LORD. I will wait for God my Savior. My God will hear me.
8 Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy! Though I fall, I shall rise. When I shall sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light to me.
9 I will bear the wrath of the LORD, because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light. And I shall see His righteousness.
10 Then she who is my enemy shall look upon it. And shame shall cover her who said to me, “Where is the LORD your God?” My eyes shall behold her. Now she shall be trampled down as the mire of the streets.
11 This is the day that your walls shall be built. This day shall drive the decree far away.
12 Also at this time they shall come to you from Assyria and the strong cities, and from the strongholds to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
13 Nevertheless, the land shall be desolate because of those who dwell in it, for the fruits of their inventions.
14 Feed Your people with Your rod, the flock of Your heritage (who dwell solitarily in the forest) in the midst of Carmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in days of old.
15 “According to the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show to him marvelous things.”
16 The nations shall see and be confounded for all their power. They shall lay their hand upon their mouth. Their ears shall be deaf.
17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent. They shall move out of their holes like worms. They shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of You.
18 Who is a God like You, Who takes away iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage! He does not retain His wrath forever, because mercy pleases Him.
19 He will turn again and have compassion upon us. He will subdue our iniquities and cast all their sins into the bottom of the sea.
20 You will perform truth to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers in days of old.

Ya no queda racimo que comer; mi alma desea los primeros higos. 2 El piadoso ha desaparecido de la tierra; no hay ni uno que sea recto entre los hombres. Cada cual acecha la vida; cada cual caza a su prójimo con una red. 3 Han adiestrado sus manos para hacer el mal[a]: El gobernante exige, el juez juzga por soborno y el poderoso habla según el antojo de su alma; y así lo retuercen. 4 El mejor de ellos es como la espina; el más correcto de ellos es como zarzal. ¡Ay[b] de tus centinelas, pues tu castigo ha venido! ¡Ahora será su confusión! 5 No crean en el amigo; no esperen en el compañero. Cuídate de la que duerme en tu seno; guarda también tu boca. 6 Porque el hijo trata con desdén a su padre, la hija se levanta contra la madre, la nuera contra su suegra, y los enemigos del hombre son los de su propia casa.
7 Pero yo miraré al SEÑOR; esperaré en el Dios de mi salvación. ¡Mi Dios me escuchará!
Israel volverá a su tierra
8 Tú, oh enemiga mía, no te alegres contra mí; pues aunque caí me levantaré. Aunque yo habite en tinieblas el SEÑOR será mi luz. 9 Porque pequé contra el SEÑOR soportaré su ira, hasta que él juzgue mi causa y me haga justicia. Él me sacará a la luz y yo veré su justicia.
10 Mi enemiga lo verá, y la que me decía: “¿Dónde está tu Dios?” se cubrirá de vergüenza. Y mis ojos la verán. ¡Ahora será pisoteada como el lodo de la calle!
11 Viene el día en que se edificarán tus muros. En aquel día se ampliarán tus límites; 12 en aquel día vendrán a ti desde Asiria y las ciudades de Egipto y desde Egipto hasta el Río, de mar a mar y de montaña a montaña. 13 Y la tierra llegará a ser una desolación por causa de sus moradores, como fruto de sus obras.
14 Apacienta a tu pueblo con tu cayado, al rebaño de tu posesión que habita solitario en medio del bosque del Carmelo. Apacentarán sus rebaños en Basán y en Galaad como en los tiempos antiguos. 15 “Yo les mostraré maravillas como en el día en que saliste de la tierra de Egipto”. 16 Las naciones lo verán y quedarán confundidas a causa de todo el poder de ellos. Se pondrán la mano sobre la boca y sus oídos se ensordecerán. 17 Lamerán el polvo como la culebra, como los reptiles de la tierra. Saldrán temblando desde sus encierros; tendrán pánico del SEÑOR nuestro Dios y tendrán miedo de ti.

18 ¿Qué Dios hay como tú que perdona la maldad y olvida el pecado del remanente de su heredad? No ha guardado para siempre su enojo porque él se complace en la misericordia. 19 Volverá a compadecerse de nosotros. Pisoteará nuestras iniquidades y echará nuestros pecados en las profundidades del mar. 20 Concederás la verdad a Jacob y a Abraham la lealtad que juraste a nuestros padres desde tiempos antiguos.

Israel’s Misery
7 What misery is mine!
I am like one who gathers summer fruit
at the gleaning of the vineyard;
there is no cluster of grapes to eat,
none of the early figs(A) that I crave.
2 The faithful have been swept from the land;(B)
not one(C) upright person remains.
Everyone lies in wait(D) to shed blood;(E)
they hunt each other(F) with nets.(G)
3 Both hands are skilled in doing evil;(H)
the ruler demands gifts,
the judge accepts bribes,(I)
the powerful dictate what they desire—
they all conspire together.
4 The best of them is like a brier,(J)
the most upright worse than a thorn(K) hedge.
The day God visits you has come,
the day your watchmen sound the alarm.
Now is the time of your confusion.(L)
5 Do not trust a neighbor;
put no confidence in a friend.(M)
Even with the woman who lies in your embrace
guard the words of your lips.
6 For a son dishonors his father,
a daughter rises up against her mother,(N)
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.(O)
7 But as for me, I watch(P) in hope(Q) for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear(R) me.
Israel Will Rise
8 Do not gloat over me,(S) my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise.(T)
Though I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be my light.(U)
9 Because I have sinned against him,
I will bear the Lord’s wrath,(V)
until he pleads my case(W)
and upholds my cause.
He will bring me out into the light;(X)
I will see his righteousness.(Y)
10 Then my enemy will see it
and will be covered with shame,(Z)
she who said to me,
“Where is the Lord your God?”(AA)
My eyes will see her downfall;(AB)
even now she will be trampled(AC) underfoot
like mire in the streets.
11 The day for building your walls(AD) will come,
the day for extending your boundaries.
12 In that day people will come to you
from Assyria(AE) and the cities of Egypt,
even from Egypt to the Euphrates
and from sea to sea
and from mountain to mountain.(AF)
13 The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants,
as the result of their deeds.(AG)
Prayer and Praise
14 Shepherd(AH) your people with your staff,(AI)
the flock of your inheritance,
which lives by itself in a forest,
in fertile pasturelands.[a](AJ)
Let them feed in Bashan(AK) and Gilead(AL)
as in days long ago.(AM)
15 “As in the days when you came out of Egypt,
I will show them my wonders.(AN)”
16 Nations will see and be ashamed,(AO)
deprived of all their power.
They will put their hands over their mouths(AP)
and their ears will become deaf.
17 They will lick dust(AQ) like a snake,
like creatures that crawl on the ground.
They will come trembling(AR) out of their dens;
they will turn in fear(AS) to the Lord our God
and will be afraid of you.
18 Who is a God(AT) like you,
who pardons sin(AU) and forgives(AV) the transgression
of the remnant(AW) of his inheritance?(AX)
You do not stay angry(AY) forever
but delight to show mercy.(AZ)
19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities(BA) into the depths of the sea.(BB)
20 You will be faithful to Jacob,
and show love to Abraham,(BC)
as you pledged on oath to our ancestors(BD)
in days long ago.(BE)
