Micah 7
King James Version
7 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
4 The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
11 In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.
12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
13 Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.
16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee.
18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

7 ¡Miserable de mí!
Me siento como el recolector de fruta que después de cosechar
no encuentra nada que comer.
No encuentro ni un racimo de uvas ni uno de los primeros higos
para saciar mi hambre.
2 La gente que sigue a Dios ha desaparecido;
no queda ni una sola persona honrada sobre la tierra.
Son todos asesinos;
les tienden trampas hasta a sus propios hermanos.
3 ¡Con ambas manos son hábiles para hacer el mal!
Tanto los funcionarios como los jueces exigen sobornos.
La gente con influencia obtiene lo que quiere
y juntos traman para torcer la justicia.
4 Hasta el mejor de ellos es como una zarza;
el más honrado es tan peligroso como un cerco de espinos.
Pero ahora viene con prontitud el día de juicio.
Su hora de castigo ha llegado, un tiempo de confusión.
5 No confíen en nadie,
¡ni en su mejor amigo, ni siquiera en su esposa!
6 Pues el hijo desprecia a su padre.
La hija se rebela contra su madre.
La nuera reta a su suegra.
¡Sus enemigos están dentro de su propia casa!
7 En cuanto a mí, busco la ayuda del Señor.
Espero confiadamente que Dios me salve,
y con seguridad mi Dios me oirá.
8 ¡Enemigos míos, no se regodeen de mí!
Pues aunque caiga, me levantaré otra vez.
Aunque esté en oscuridad,
el Señor será mi luz.
9 Seré paciente cuando el Señor me castigue,
porque he pecado contra él.
Pero después, él tomará mi caso
y me hará justicia por todo lo que he sufrido a manos de mis enemigos.
El Señor me llevará a la luz
y veré su justicia.
10 Entonces mis enemigos verán que el Señor está de mi lado.
Serán avergonzados los que se mofaban de mí diciendo:
«Entonces, ¿dónde está el Señor,
ese Dios tuyo?».
Con mis propios ojos veré su ruina;
como lodo en las calles serán pisoteados.
11 En aquel día, Israel, tus ciudades serán reconstruidas
y tus fronteras se extenderán.
12 Vendrá gente de muchos países y te honrará:
desde Asiria hasta las ciudades de Egipto,
desde Egipto hasta el río Éufrates[a]
y desde los mares distantes y las montañas lejanas.
13 Sin embargo, la tierra se volverá vacía y desolada
a causa de la perversidad de los que la habitan.
Compasión del Señor por Israel
14 Oh Señor, protege a tu pueblo con tu vara de pastor;
guía a tu rebaño, tu posesión más preciada.
Aunque viva solo en un matorral
en lo alto del monte Carmelo,[b]
que se alimente en los fértiles pastos de Basán y Galaad
como lo hacía en tiempos pasados.
15 «Sí—dice el Señor—,
haré para ti grandes milagros,
como los que hice cuando te rescaté
de la esclavitud en Egipto».
16 Todas las naciones del mundo quedarán maravilladas
de lo que el Señor hará por ti.
Estarán avergonzadas
de su escaso poder.
Se cubrirán la boca, mudas de respeto y temor,
sordas a todo lo que las rodea.
17 Como serpientes que salen de sus guaridas,
saldrán para encontrarse con el Señor nuestro Dios.
Sentirán mucho temor de él
y temblarán de terror ante su presencia.
18 ¿Dónde hay otro Dios como tú,
que perdona la culpa del remanente
y pasa por alto los pecados de su preciado pueblo?
No seguirás enojado con tu pueblo para siempre,
porque tú te deleitas en mostrar tu amor inagotable.
19 Volverás a tener compasión de nosotros.
¡Aplastarás nuestros pecados bajo tus pies
y los arrojarás a las profundidades del océano!
20 Nos mostrarás tu fidelidad y tu amor inagotable,
como lo prometiste hace mucho tiempo a nuestros antepasados Abraham y Jacob.
