Micah 6:5-7

New International Version

⁵ My people, remember
    what Balak^(A) king of Moab plotted
    and what Balaam son of Beor answered.
Remember your journey from Shittim^(B) to Gilgal,^(C)
    that you may know the righteous acts^(D) of the Lord.”

⁶ With what shall I come before^(E) the Lord
    and bow down before the exalted God?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
    with calves a year old?^(F)
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,^(G)
    with ten thousand rivers of olive oil?^(H)
Shall I offer my firstborn^(I) for my transgression,
    the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?^(J)
