¹³ For I will ^(A)bend Judah ^[a]as My bow,
I will fill the bow with Ephraim.
And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O ^(B)Greece;
And I will make you like a ^(C)warrior’s sword.
¹⁴ Then the Lord will appear ^(D)over them,
And His ^(E)arrow will go forth like lightning;
And the Lord ^[b]God will blow the ^(F)trumpet,
And will march in the ^(G)storm winds of the south.
^15 (H)The Lord of hosts will defend them.
And they will ^(I)devour and trample on the ^(J)sling stones;
And they will drink and be ^(K)boisterous as with wine;
And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin,
Drenched like the ^(L)corners of the altar.
¹⁶ And the Lord their God will ^(M)save them in that day
As the flock of His people;
For they are as the stones of a ^(N)crown,
^[c]Sparkling in His land.

³ “My ^(A)anger is kindled against the shepherds,
And I will punish the ^[a]male goats;
For the Lord of hosts has ^(B)visited His flock, the house of Judah,
And will make them like His majestic horse in battle.
⁴ “From ^[b]them will come the ^(C)cornerstone,
From ^[c]them the tent peg,
From ^[d]them the bow of ^(D)battle,
From ^[e]them every ^[f]ruler, all of them together.
⁵ “They will be as mighty men,
^(E)Treading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle;
And they will fight, for the Lord will be with them;
And the ^(F)riders on horses will be put to shame.
⁶ “I will ^(G)strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will ^(H)save the house of Joseph,
And I will ^[g](I)bring them back,
Because I have had ^(J)compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had ^(K)not rejected them,
For I am the Lord their God and I will ^(L)answer them.
