The Final Judgment

^31 (A)“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, ^(B)then he will sit on his glorious throne. ³² Before him ^(C)will be gathered ^(D)all the nations, and ^(E)he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates ^(F)the sheep from the goats.

¹⁸ And ^(A)I will make for them a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the creeping things of the ground. And ^(B)I will abolish^[a] the bow, the sword, and war from the land, and I will make you lie down in ^(C)safety.

³¹ because he has fixed ^(A)a day on which ^(B)he will judge the world ^(C)in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and ^(D)of this he has given assurance to all ^(E)by raising him from the dead.”

²⁷ And he ^(A)has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for ^(B)an hour is coming when ^(C)all who are in the tombs will hear his voice ²⁹ and come out, ^(D)those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

^22 (A)For the Father judges no one, but ^(B)has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all may honor the Son, just as they ^(C)honor the Father. ^(D)Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

¹² And this shall be ^(A)the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

¹³ And ^(B)on that day a great panic from the Lord shall fall on them, so that ^(C)each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other. ¹⁴ Even ^(D)Judah will fight at Jerusalem.^[a] And ^(E)the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance. ¹⁵ And ^(F)a plague like this plague shall fall on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and whatever beasts may be in those camps.

¹⁶ Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem ^(G)shall go up year after year to worship ^(H)the King, the Lord of hosts, and ^(I)to keep ^(J)the Feast of Booths. ¹⁷ And if ^(K)any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship ^(L)the King, the Lord of hosts, ^(M)there will be no rain on them. ¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain;^[b] there shall be ^(N)the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up ^(O)to keep the Feast of Booths. ¹⁹ This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up ^(P)to keep the Feast of Booths.
