Micah 3:9-12

9 Now hear this, (A)heads of the house of Jacob
And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who (B)abhor justice
And twist everything that is straight,
10 Who (C)build Zion with bloodshed
And Jerusalem with violent injustice.
11 Her heads pronounce (D)judgment for a bribe,
And her (E)priests instruct for a price,
And her prophets divine for money.
Yet they lean on Yahweh saying,
“(F)Is not Yahweh in our midst?
Evil will not come upon us.”
12 Therefore, on account of you
(G)Zion will be plowed as a field;
(H)Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins,
And the (I)mountain of the house of God will become high places of a forest.

Zion’s Destruction
9 Listen to this, leaders of the house of Jacob,(A)
you rulers of the house of Israel,
who abhor justice(B)
and pervert everything that is right,
10 who build Zion with bloodshed(C)
and Jerusalem with injustice.
11 Her leaders issue rulings for a bribe,(D)
her priests teach for payment,(E)
and her prophets practice divination for money.
Yet they lean on the Lord, saying,
“Isn’t the Lord(F) among us?
No disaster will overtake us.”
12 Therefore, because of you,
Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become ruins,(G)
and the hill of the temple mount(H)
will be a thicket.(I)
