Micah 2
New King James Version
Woe to Evildoers
2 Woe to those who devise iniquity,
And [a]work out evil on their beds!
At (A)morning light they practice it,
Because it is in the power of their hand.
2 They (B)covet fields and take them by violence,
Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house,
A man and his inheritance.
3 Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Behold, against this (C)family I am devising (D)disaster,
From which you cannot remove your necks;
Nor shall you walk haughtily,
For this is an evil time.
4 In that day one shall take up a proverb against you,
And (E)lament with a bitter lamentation, saying:
‘We are utterly destroyed!
He has changed the [b]heritage of my people;
How He has removed it from me!
To [c]a turncoat He has divided our fields.’ ”
5 Therefore you will have no [d]one to determine boundaries by lot
In the assembly of the Lord.
Lying Prophets
6 “Do not prattle,” you say to those who [e]prophesy.
So they shall not prophesy [f]to you;
[g]They shall not return insult for insult.
7 You who are named the house of Jacob:
“Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted?
Are these His doings?
Do not My words do good
To him who walks uprightly?
8 “Lately My people have risen up as an enemy—
You pull off the robe with the garment
From those who trust you, as they pass by,
Like men returned from war.
9 The women of My people you cast out
From their pleasant houses;
From their children
You have taken away My glory forever.
10 “Arise and depart,
For this is not your (F)rest;
Because it is (G)defiled, it shall destroy,
Yes, with utter destruction.
11 If a man should walk in a false spirit
And speak a lie, saying,
‘I will [h]prophesy to you [i]of wine and drink,’
Even he would be the (H)prattler of this people.
Israel Restored
12 “I(I) will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob,
I will surely gather the remnant of Israel;
I will put them together (J)like sheep of [j]the fold,
Like a flock in the midst of their pasture;
(K)They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.
13 The one who breaks open will come up before them;
They will break out,
Pass through the gate,
And go out by it;
(L)Their king will pass before them,
(M)With the Lord at their head.”

2 Khốn cho các ngươi là những kẻ âm mưu ác,
những kẻ nằm trên giường
suy nghĩ những mưu thâm độc.
Khi bình minh đến, thì chúng thi hành chương trình dự định,
vì chúng có quyền làm chuyện đó.
2 Chúng tham muốn ruộng nương,
nên ra tay chiếm đoạt ruộng;
chúng tham muốn nhà cửa,
nên chúng sang đoạt nhà cửa.
Chúng lường gạt kẻ khác để chiếm nhà họ; chiếm luôn tài sản của họ.
Chúa dự định trừng phạt dân chúng
3 Vì thế nên CHÚA phán:
“Ta dự định gây khốn khó cho gia đình nầy,
các ngươi không thể tự cứu được đâu.
Ngươi sẽ không còn bước đi hiên ngang nữa,
vì đó là thời kỳ hãi hùng.
4 Lúc đó dân chúng sẽ chế giễu ngươi
và hát bài ai ca nầy về ngươi:
‘Chúng ta hoàn toàn bị hủy hoại rồi;
CHÚA đã cướp đất của dân ta.
Thật vậy, Ngài đã lấy đất khỏi tôi
và chia ruộng nương chúng ta
cho các kẻ thù chúng ta!’
5 Cho nên các ngươi không còn ai trong hội chúng của CHÚA
để bắt thăm chia đất nữa.”
Mi-ca được yêu cầu đừng nói tiên tri nữa
6 Các nhà tiên tri nói,
“Xin đừng nói tiên tri cho chúng ta nữa!
Đừng nói tiên tri về những chuyện nầy!
Không có chuyện xấu xảy đến cho chúng ta đâu!”
7 Nhưng hỡi dân cư Gia-cốp, ta phải bảo điều nầy:
“CHÚA nổi giận vì điều các ngươi làm.
Lời ta không được người ngay thẳng đón nhận.
8 Nhưng ngươi chống lại dân ta như kẻ thù.
Các ngươi giật áo của kẻ qua đường;
khiến họ không còn cảm thấy an ninh nữa;
các ngươi âm mưu chiến tranh [a].
9 Các ngươi đuổi những người đàn bà trong dân ta
ra khỏi nhà cửa tốt đẹp của họ;
Các ngươi cất vinh hiển ta
khỏi con cái họ đời đời.
10 Hãy đứng dậy đi đi.
Đây không phải là nơi nghỉ chân của các ngươi.
Các ngươi đã biến nơi nầy thành nhơ nhớp,
để dành cho sự hủy hoại.
11 Nhưng các ngươi chỉ muốn một nhà tiên tri giả
nói cho các ngươi toàn chuyện dối trá thôi.
Các ngươi muốn có người nói tiên tri
về những việc tốt cho các ngươi,
nếu các ngươi cho người ấy rượu và bia.

Chúa hứa gom góp dân Ngài lại
12 Thật vậy, hỡi dân cư Gia-cốp,
ta sẽ gom các ngươi lại;
Ta sẽ gom lại những kẻ còn sống sót trong Ít-ra-en.
Ta sẽ gom họ lại như chiên trong ràn,
như bầy súc vật trong đồng cỏ;
nơi đó sẽ đông nghẹt người.
13 Sẽ có người mở cửa và dẫn dân chúng ra.
Dân chúng sẽ phá cổng và ra khỏi thành, nơi họ bị cầm tù.
Vua sẽ đi ra trước họ,
và CHÚA sẽ dẫn dắt họ.”

Oppressors Judged
2 Woe to those who dream up wickedness
and prepare evil plans(A) on their beds!
At morning light(B) they accomplish it
because the power is in their hands.(C)
2 They covet fields(D) and seize them;(E)
they also take houses.
They deprive a man of his home,(F)
a person of his inheritance.(G)
3 Therefore, the Lord says:
I am now planning(H) a disaster
against this nation;(I)
you cannot free your necks from it.(J)
Then you will not walk so proudly(K)
because it will be an evil time.(L)
4 In that day one will take up(M) a taunt against you
and lament mournfully,(N) saying,
‘We are totally ruined!(O)
He measures out the allotted land of my people.
How he removes it from me!
He allots our fields(P) to traitors.’
5 Therefore, there will be no one
in the assembly of the Lord
to divide the land by casting lots.[a](Q)
God’s Word Rejected
6 ‘Abandon your preaching,’(R) they[b] preach.
‘They should not preach these things;(S)
shame will not overtake us.’[c](T)
7 House of Jacob, should it be asked,
‘Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient?(U)
Are these the things he does? ’
Don’t my words bring good(V)
to the one who walks uprightly?(W)
8 But recently my people have risen up
like an enemy:(X)
You strip off the splendid robe(Y)
from those who are passing through confidently,(Z)
like those returning from war.
9 You force(AA) the women of my people
out of their comfortable homes,
and you take my blessing[d](AB)
from their children for ever.
10 Get up and leave,
for this is not your place of rest(AC)
because defilement(AD) brings destruction –
a grievous destruction!(AE)
11 If a man comes
and utters empty lies(AF) –
‘I will preach to you about wine and beer’(AG) –
he would be just the preacher for this people!(AH)
The Remnant Regathered
12 I will indeed gather(AI) all of you, Jacob;
I will collect the remnant of Israel.(AJ)
I will bring them together like sheep in a pen,
like a flock in the middle of its pasture.
It will be noisy with people.(AK)
13 One who breaks open the way
will advance before them;
they will break out, pass through the city gate,
and leave by it.
Their King will pass through before them,
the Lord as their leader.

2 Nakakaawa kayong nagpupuyat sa pagpaplano ng masama. Kinaumagahan ay isinasagawa ninyo ang inyong planong masama dahil may kakayahan kayong gawin iyon. 2 Inaagaw ninyo ang mga bukid at mga bahay na inyong nagugustuhan. Dinadaya ninyo ang mga tao para makuha ninyo ang kanilang bahay o lupaing minana. 3 Kaya ito ang sinasabi ng Panginoon sa inyo, “Makinig kayo! Pinaplano kong parusahan kayo at hindi kayo makakaligtas. Hindi na kayo makapagmamalaki dahil sa panahong iyon ay lilipulin kayo. 4 Sa araw na iyon, kukutyain kayo ng mga tao sa pamamagitan ng malungkot na kasabihan: ‘Lubusan na kaming nalipol! Kinuha ng Panginoon ang aming mga lupain at ibinigay sa mga traydor.’ ”
5 Kaya wala na kayong angkan na magmamana ng inyong bahagi sa oras na hatiin ng sambayanan ng Panginoon ang lupain na ibabalik sa kanila. 6 Ngayon, pinapangaralan pa ninyo kami. Sinasabi ninyo, “Huwag na ninyo kaming pangaralan tungkol sa kapahamakang iyon, dahil hinding-hindi kami mapapahiya. 7 Bakit, isinusumpa na ba ng Panginoon ang lahi ni Jacob? Ubos na ba ang kanyang pasensya? Gawain ba niya ang pumuksa?”
Ito ang sagot ng Panginoon, “Kung ginagawa lang sana ninyo ang mabuti, matatanggap ninyo ang aking mga pangako. 8 Pero nilulusob ninyo ang aking mahihirap na mamamayan na para bang mga kaaway. Akala nila, pag-uwi nila sa kanilang bayan mula sa digmaan ay ligtas na sila, pero iyon palaʼy aagawan ninyo sila ng kanilang balabal. 9 Pinapalayas ninyo ang kanilang mga kababaihan sa mga tahanang minamahal nila. At inaagaw ninyo ang mga pagpapala na ibinigay ko sa kanilang mga anak, kaya mawawala na ito sa kanila magpakailanman. 10 Kaya ngayon, umalis na kayo rito sa Israel dahil ang lugar na ito ay hindi na makapagbibigay sa inyo ng kapahingahan, sapagkat dinungisan ninyo ito ng inyong mga kasalanan. Masisira ang lugar na ito at hindi na mapapakinabangan.[a] 11 Ang gusto ninyong mangangaral ay iyong nangangaral nang walang kabuluhan, manlilinlang at sinungaling, at ganito ang sinasabi: ‘Sasagana kayo sa alak at iba pang mga inumin.’ ”
