Micah 2:9-11

⁹You ^(A)evict the women of My people,
Each one from her pleasant house.
From her children you take My ^(B)splendor forever.
¹⁰Arise and go,
For this is no place ^(C)of rest
Because of the ^(D)uncleanness that brings on destruction,
A painful destruction.
¹¹If someone walking after wind and ^(E)falsehood
Had lied and said,
‘I will prophesy to you about ^(F)wine and liquor,’
He would become a prophet to ^(G)this people.

And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who ^(B)despise justice
And twist everything that is straight,
¹⁰Who ^(C)build Zion with bloodshed,
And Jerusalem with malice.
¹¹Her leaders pronounce ^(D)judgment for a bribe,
Her ^(E)priests teach for pay,
And her prophets divine for money.
Yet they lean on the Lord, saying,
“^(F)Is the Lord not in our midst?
Catastrophe will not come upon us.”
