² Hear,^(A) you peoples, all of you,^(B)
    listen, earth^(C) and all who live in it,
that the Sovereign Lord may bear witness^(D) against you,
    the Lord from his holy temple.^(E)

⁴ The Lord is in his holy temple;^(A)
    the Lord is on his heavenly throne.^(B)
He observes everyone on earth;^(C)
    his eyes examine^(D) them.

²⁰ The Lord is in his holy temple;^(A)
    let all the earth be silent^(B) before him.

“Stand up, plead my case before the mountains;^(A)
    let the hills hear what you have to say.

² “Hear,^(B) you mountains, the Lord’s accusation;^(C)
    listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth.
For the Lord has a case^(D) against his people;
    he is lodging a charge^(E) against Israel.

⁷ “When my life was ebbing away,
    I remembered^(A) you, Lord,
and my prayer^(B) rose to you,
    to your holy temple.^(C)

    hear the word of the Lord!

⁷ “Listen, my people, and I will speak;
    I will testify^(A) against you, Israel:
    I am God, your God.^(B)
