²⁴Si Gideon ay nagpadala ng mga sugo sa lipi ni Efraim na nakatira sa mga kaburulan. Sinabi niya, “Bumabâ kayo at tugisin ninyo ang mga Midianita. Pabantayan ninyo ang Ilog Jordan at ang mga batis hanggang sa Beth-bara, upang hindi sila makatawid.” Kaya't lahat ng kalalakihan sa lipi ng Efraim ay nagtipon, at ganoon nga ang kanilang ginawa. ²⁵Sa paghabol nila sa mga Midianita, nabihag nila ang dalawang pinunong sina Oreb at Zeeb. Pinatay nila si Oreb sa Bato ni Oreb at si Zeeb sa pisaan ng ubas ni Zeeb. Pagkatapos, dinala nila ang ulo ng dalawang ito kay Gideon sa ibayo ng Jordan.

Judges 7:24-25

New International Version

²⁴Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters of the Jordan^(A) ahead of them as far as Beth Barah.”

So all the men of Ephraim were called out and they seized the waters of the Jordan as far as Beth Barah. ²⁵They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, Oreb and Zeeb^(B). They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb,^(C) and Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued the Midianites^(D) and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan.^(E)

²⁴Then Gideon sent messengers throughout all the ^(A)mountains of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against the Midianites, and seize from them the watering places as far as Beth Barah and the Jordan.” Then all the men of Ephraim gathered together and ^(B)seized the watering places as far as ^(C)Beth Barah and the Jordan. ²⁵And they captured ^(D)two princes of the Midianites, ^(E)Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they killed at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued Midian and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the ^(F)other side of the Jordan.
