9 Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
But establish the just;
(A)For the righteous God tests the hearts and [a]minds.
10 [b]My defense is of God,
Who saves the (B)upright in heart.
11 God is a just judge,
And God is angry with the wicked every day.

9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,
and may you establish the righteous—
you who (A)test (B)the minds and hearts,[a]
O righteous God!
10 My shield is (C)with God,
who saves (D)the upright in heart.
11 God is (E)a righteous judge,
and a God who feels (F)indignation every day.
