    “Ang mga gawa mo ay kahanga-hanga;
    yuyuko sa takot ang mga kaaway, dahilan sa taglay mong kapangyarihan.
Ang lahat sa lupa ika'y sinasamba,
    awit ng papuri yaong kinakanta;
    ang iyong pangala'y pinupuri nila.” (Selah)[a]

Ang ginawa ng Diyos, lapit at pagmasdan,
    ang kahanga-hangang ginawa sa tanan.
Naging(A) tuyong lupa kahit na karagatan,
    mga ninuno nati'y doon dumaan;
doo'y naramdaman labis na kagalakan.
Makapangyarihang hari kailanman,
    siya'y nagmamasid magpakailanman;
    kaya huwag magtatangkang sa kanya'y lumaban. (Selah)[b]

    inyong iparinig papuring malugod.

    sinubok mo kami upang dumalisay;
    at tulad ng pilak, kami'y idinarang.
11 Iyong binayaang mahulog sa bitag,
    at pinagdala mo kami nang mabigat.
12 Sa mga kaaway ipinaubaya,
    sinubok mo kami sa apoy at baha,
    bago mo dinala sa dakong payapa.

13 Ako'y maghahandog sa banal mong templo
    ng aking pangako na handog sa iyo.
14 Pati pangako ko, nang may suliranin,
    ay ibibigay ko, sa iyo dadalhin.
15 Natatanging handog ang iaalay ko;
susunuging tupa, kambing, saka toro,
    mababangong samyo, halimuyak nito. (Selah)[c]

    kanyang karangalan, aking sinasabi.

Psalm 66

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!(A)
    Sing the glory of his name;(B)
    make his praise glorious.(C)
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!(D)
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe(E) before you.
All the earth bows down(F) to you;
    they sing praise(G) to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”[a]

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds(H) for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,(I)
    they passed through(J) the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice(K) in him.
He rules forever(L) by his power,
    his eyes watch(M) the nations—
    let not the rebellious(N) rise up against him.

Praise(O) our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives(P)
    and kept our feet from slipping.(Q)
10 For you, God, tested(R) us;
    you refined us like silver.(S)
11 You brought us into prison(T)
    and laid burdens(U) on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;(V)
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.(W)

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings(X)
    and fulfill my vows(Y) to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.(Z)

16 Come and hear,(AA) all you who fear God;
    let me tell(AB) you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;(AC)
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard(AD) my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected(AE) my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!

Footnotes

  1. Psalm 66:4 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verses 7 and 15.

66 1 He provoketh all men to praise the Lord and to consider his works. 6 He setteth forth the power of God to affray the rebels. 10 And showeth how God hath delivered Israel from great bondage and afflictions. 13 He promiseth to give sacrifice, 16 And provoketh all men to hear what God hath done for him, and to praise his Name.

To him that excelleth. A song or Psalm.

Rejoice in God, [a]all ye inhabitants of the earth.

Sing forth the glory of his Name: make his praise glorious.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies be [b]in subjection unto thee.

All the world shall worship thee, and sing unto thee, even sing of thy Name. Selah.

[c]Come and behold the works of God: he is terrible in his doings toward [d]the sons of men.

He hath turned the sea into dry land: they passed through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

He ruleth the world with his power: his eyes behold the nations: the rebellious shall not [e]exalt themselves. Selah.

Praise our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard.

Which [f]holdeth our souls in life, and suffereth not our feet to slip.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us, thou hast tried us as silver is tried.

11 Thou hast brought us unto the [g]snare, and laid a strait chain upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads: we went into fire and into water, but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13 I will go into thine [h]House with burnt offerings, and will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips have promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.

15 I will offer unto thee the burnt offerings of fat rams with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goats. Selah.

16 [i]Come and hearken, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what he hath done to my soul.

17 I called unto him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.

18 [j]If I regard wickedness in mine heart, the Lord will not hear me.

19 But God hath heard me, and considered the voice of my prayer.

20 Praised be God, which hath not put back my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
