39 Aking sinabi, “Ako'y mag-iingat sa aking mga lakad,
upang huwag akong magkasala sa aking dila;
iingatan ko ang aking bibig na parang binusalan,
hangga't ang masasama ay nasa aking harapan.”
2 Ako'y tumahimik at napipi,
ako'y tumahimik pati sa mabuti;
lalong lumubha ang aking pighati,
3 ang puso ko'y uminit sa aking kalooban.
Samantalang ako'y nagbubulay-bulay, ang apoy ay nagningas,
pagkatapos sa aking dila ako ay bumigkas:
4 “ Panginoon, ipaalam mo sa akin ang aking katapusan,
at kung ano ang sukat ng aking mga araw;
ipaalam sa akin kung gaano kadaling lumipas ang aking buhay!
5 Narito, ang aking mga araw ay ginawa mong iilang mga dangkal,
at sa paningin mo'y tulad sa wala ang aking buhay.
Tunay na bawat tao'y nakatayong gaya ng isang hininga lamang. (Selah)
6 Tunay na ang tao ay lumalakad na gaya ng anino!
Tunay na sila'y nagkakagulo nang walang kabuluhan;
ang tao ay nagbubunton, at hindi nalalaman kung sinong magtitipon!
7 “At ngayon, Panginoon, sa ano pa ako maghihintay?
Ang aking pag-asa ay nasa iyo.
8 Iligtas mo ako sa lahat ng aking mga pagsuway.
Huwag mo akong gawing katuyaan ng hangal.
9 Ako'y pipi, hindi ko ibinubuka ang bibig ko,
sapagkat ikaw ang gumawa nito.
10 Paghampas sa akin ay iyo nang tigilan,
ako'y bugbog na sa mga suntok ng iyong kamay.
11 Kapag pinarurusahan mo ang tao nang may pagsaway sa pagkakasala,
iyong tinutupok na gaya ng bukbok ang mahalaga sa kanya;
tunay na ang bawat tao ay isa lamang hininga! (Selah)
12 “Pakinggan mo, O Panginoon, ang aking panalangin,
at iyong dinggin ang aking daing;
huwag kang manahimik sa aking mga luha!
Sapagkat ako'y dayuhan na kasama mo,
isang manlalakbay gaya ng lahat na aking mga ninuno.
13 Ilayo mo ang iyong tingin sa akin, upang muli akong makangiti,
bago ako umalis at mapawi!”

人生虚幻，主是唯一指望

39 我曾说：“我要谨慎我的行为，
不让我的舌头犯罪；
恶人在我面前的时候，
我总要用罩子约束我的嘴。”
2 我静默不出声，
甚至连好话也不说（“甚至连好话也不说”或译：“我安静也得不到安慰”），
我的痛苦就更加剧烈。
3 我的心在我里面发热；
我默想的时候，心里火烧；
我就用舌头说话：
4 “耶和华啊！求你使我知道我的结局，
我的寿数有多少，
使我知道我的生命多么短促。
5 你使我的日子窄如手掌，
我的一生在你面前如同无有；
各人站得最稳的时候，也只不过是一口气。（细拉）
6 世人来来往往只是幻影，
他们忙乱也是虚空；
积聚财物，却不知道谁要来收取。
7 主啊！现在我还等候甚么呢？
我的指望在乎你。
8 求你救我脱离我的一切过犯，
不要使我遭受愚顽人的羞辱。
9 因为是你作了这事，
我就静默不开口。
10 求你除掉你降在我身上的灾祸；
因你手的责打，我就消灭。
11 你因人的罪孽，借着责罚管教他们，
叫他们所宝贵的消失，像被虫蛀蚀；
世人都不过是一口气。（细拉）
12 耶和华啊！求你垂听我的祷告，
留心听我的呼求；
我流泪，求你不要缄默；
因为我在你面前是客旅，
是寄居的，像我所有的祖先一样。
13 求你不要怒视我，
使我在去而不返之先，可以喜乐。”

1 I said, “I will watch my ways(A)
and keep my tongue from sin;(B)
I will put a muzzle on my mouth(C)
while in the presence of the wicked.”
2 So I remained utterly silent,(D)
not even saying anything good.
But my anguish(E) increased;
3 my heart grew hot(F) within me.
While I meditated,(G) the fire(H) burned;
then I spoke with my tongue:
4 “Show me, Lord, my life’s end
and the number of my days;(I)
let me know how fleeting(J) my life is.(K)
5 You have made my days(L) a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,(M)
even those who seem secure.[b]
6 “Surely everyone goes around(N) like a mere phantom;(O)
in vain they rush about,(P) heaping up wealth(Q)
without knowing whose it will finally be.(R)
7 “But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.(S)
8 Save me(T) from all my transgressions;(U)
do not make me the scorn(V) of fools.
9 I was silent;(W) I would not open my mouth,(X)
for you are the one who has done this.(Y)
10 Remove your scourge from me;
I am overcome by the blow(Z) of your hand.(AA)
11 When you rebuke(AB) and discipline(AC) anyone for their sin,
you consume(AD) their wealth like a moth(AE)—
surely everyone is but a breath.(AF)

39 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,
4 Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.
5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
6 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.
8 Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.
9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.
10 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
12 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.
