Ang Biblia, 2001
Awit(A) ni David, nang siya'y nagkunwaring baliw sa harapan ni Abimelec, kaya't pinalayas siya nito, at siya'y umalis.
34 Pupurihin ko ang Panginoon sa lahat ng panahon;
ang pagpuri sa kanya ay sasaaking bibig nang patuloy.
2 Nagmamapuri sa Panginoon ang aking kaluluwa,
marinig nawa ng mapagpakumbaba at magsaya.
3 O kasama kong dakilain ninyo ang Panginoon,
at magkasama nating itaas ang kanyang pangalan!
4 Hinanap ko ang Panginoon, at ako'y kanyang sinagot,
at iniligtas niya ako sa lahat ng aking mga takot.
5 Sila'y tumingin sa kanya, at naging makinang,
at ang kanilang mga mukha ay hindi mapapahiya kailanman.
6 Ang abang taong ito ay dumaing, at ang Panginoon sa kanya'y nakinig,
at iniligtas siya sa lahat niyang mga ligalig.
7 Ang anghel ng Panginoon ay nagbabantay
sa palibot ng mga natatakot sa kanya, at inililigtas sila.
8 O(B) inyong subukan at tingnan na mabuti ang Panginoon!
Maligaya ang tao na sa kanya'y nanganganlong.
9 O matakot kayo sa Panginoon, kayong kanyang mga banal,
sapagkat ang mga natatakot sa kanya ay hindi magkukulang!
10 Ang mga batang leon ay nagkukulang at nagugutom;
ngunit silang humahanap sa Panginoon sa mabuting bagay ay hindi nagsasalat.
11 Halikayo, mga anak, pakinggan ninyo ako,
ang takot sa Panginoon ay ituturo ko sa inyo.
12 Sinong(C) tao ang nagnanasa ng buhay,
at naghahangad ng maraming araw, upang magtamasa ng mabuti?
13 Ingatan mo ang iyong dila mula sa masama,
at ang iyong mga labi sa pagsasalita ng pandaraya.
14 Lumayo ka sa kasamaan, at ang mabuti'y iyong gawin;
hanapin mo ang kapayapaan at ito'y iyong habulin.
15 Ang mga mata ng Panginoon ay sa matuwid nakatitig,
at sa kanilang daing, bukas ang kanyang pandinig.
16 Ang mukha ng Panginoon ay laban sa mga gumagawa ng masama,
upang tanggalin ang alaala nila sa lupa.
17 Kapag ang matuwid ay humingi ng saklolo, ang Panginoon ay nakikinig,
at inililigtas sila sa lahat nilang mga gulo.
18 Ang Panginoon ay malapit sa may pusong wasak,
at inililigtas ang mga may bagbag na diwa.
19 Marami ang kapighatian ng matuwid;
ngunit inililigtas siya ng Panginoon sa lahat ng mga iyon.
20 Lahat(D) nitong mga buto ay iniingatan niya,
sa mga iyon ay hindi nababali ni isa.
21 Ang masama ay papatayin ng kasamaan,
at ang mga napopoot sa matuwid ay hahatulan.
22 Tinutubos ng Panginoon ang buhay ng mga lingkod niya;
walang hahatulan sa sinumang nanganganlong sa kanya.

Ang Kabutihan ng Dios
34 Pupurihin ko ang Panginoon sa lahat ng oras.
Ang aking bibig ay hindi titigil sa pagpupuri sa kanya.
2 Ipagmamalaki ko ang gawa ng Panginoon;
maririnig ito ng mga api at silaʼy magagalak.
3 Halikayo! Ipahayag natin ang kadakilaan ng Panginoon,
at itaas natin ang kanyang pangalan.
4 Akoʼy nanalangin sa Panginoon at akoʼy kanyang sinagot.
Pinalaya niya ako sa lahat ng aking takot.
5 Ang mga umaasa sa kanya ay nagniningning ang mata sa kaligayahan,
at walang bahid ng hiya sa kanilang mukha.
6 Noong wala na akong pag-asa, tumawag ako sa Panginoon.
Akoʼy kanyang pinakinggan at iniligtas sa lahat ng mga dinaranas kong kahirapan.
7 Ang anghel ng Panginoon ay nagbabantay sa mga may takot sa Dios,
at ipinagtatanggol niya sila.
8 Subukan ninyo at inyong makikita,
kung gaano kabuti ang Panginoon.
Napakapalad ng taong naghahanap ng kaligtasan[a] sa kanya!
9 Kayong mga hinirang ng Panginoon,
matakot kayo sa kanya,
dahil ang may takot sa kanya ay hindi kukulangin sa lahat ng pangangailangan.
10 Kahit mga leon ay kukulangin sa pagkain at magugutom,
ngunit hindi kukulangin ng mabubuting bagay ang mga nagtitiwala sa Panginoon.
11 Lumapit kayo, kayong gustong matuto sa akin.
Pakinggan ninyo ako at tuturuan ko kayo ng pagkatakot sa Panginoon.
12 Kung nais ninyo ng masaya at mahabang buhay,
13 iwasan ninyo ang masamang pananalita at pagsisinungaling.
14 Lumayo kayo sa masama at gawin ninyo ang mabuti.
Pagsikapan ninyong kamtin ang kapayapaan.
15 Iniingatan ng Panginoon ang mga matuwid,
at pinakikinggan niya ang kanilang mga karaingan.
16 Ngunit kinakalaban ng Panginoon ang mga gumagawa ng masama.
Silaʼy kanyang nililipol hanggang sa hindi na sila maalala ng mga tao sa mundo.
17 Tinutugon ng Panginoon ang panalangin ng mga matuwid,
at inililigtas sila sa lahat ng mga suliranin.
18 Malapit ang Panginoon sa mga may bagbag na puso,
at tinutulungan niya ang mga nawawalan ng pag-asa.
19 Marami ang paghihirap ng mga matuwid,
ngunit inililigtas sila ng Panginoon sa lahat ng ito.
20 Silaʼy iniingatan ng Panginoon,
at kahit isang buto nilaʼy hindi mababali.
21 Ang masamang tao ay papatayin ng kanyang kasamaan.
At silang nagagalit sa taong matuwid ay parurusahan ng Dios.
22 Ngunit ililigtas ng Panginoon ang kanyang mga lingkod,
at hindi parurusahan ang isa man sa mga naghahanap ng kaligtasan sa kanya.

Of David. When he pretended to be insane(A) before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.
1 I will extol the Lord at all times;(B)
his praise will always be on my lips.
2 I will glory(C) in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.(D)
3 Glorify the Lord(E) with me;
let us exalt(F) his name together.
4 I sought the Lord,(G) and he answered me;
he delivered(H) me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant;(I)
their faces are never covered with shame.(J)
6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.(K)
7 The angel of the Lord(L) encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers(M) them.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good;(N)
blessed is the one who takes refuge(O) in him.
9 Fear the Lord,(P) you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing.(Q)
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.(R)
11 Come, my children, listen(S) to me;
I will teach you(T) the fear of the Lord.(U)
12 Whoever of you loves life(V)
and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue(W) from evil
and your lips from telling lies.(X)
14 Turn from evil and do good;(Y)
seek peace(Z) and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord(AA) are on the righteous,(AB)
and his ears are attentive(AC) to their cry;
16 but the face of the Lord is against(AD) those who do evil,(AE)
to blot out their name(AF) from the earth.
17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears(AG) them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close(AH) to the brokenhearted(AI)
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

34 I will (B)bless the Lord at all times;

3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
