Pagpuri Dahil sa Kabutihan ng Diyos

Katha(A) ni David nang siya'y palayasin ni Abimelec matapos magkunwang nasisiraan siya ng bait.

34 Sa lahat ng pagkakataon si Yahweh ay aking pupurihin;
    pagpupuri ko sa kanya'y hindi ko papatigilin.
Aking pupurihin kanyang mga gawa,
    kayong naaapi, makinig, matuwa!

    sa mga panganib, sila'y kinukupkop.

Tingnan(B) mo at lasapin ang kabutihan ni Yahweh;
    mapalad ang mga taong nananalig sa kanya.
Matakot kay Yahweh, kayo na kanyang bayan,
    nang makamtan ninyo ang lahat ng bagay.
10 Kahit mga leon ay nagugutom din, sila'y nagkukulang sa hustong pagkain;
    ngunit ang sinumang kay Yahweh ay sumunod, mabubuting bagay, sa kanya'y di mauudlot.
11 Lapit, ako'y dinggin mga kaibigan,
    at kayo ngayo'y aking tuturuan na si Yahweh ay dapat sundi't igalang.
12 Sinong(C) may gusto ng mahabang buhay;
    sinong may nais ng masaganang buhay?

    at sa alaala, sila'y mawawala.
17 Agad dinirinig daing ng matuwid;
    inililigtas sila sa mga panganib.
18 Tinutulungan niya, mga nagdurusa
    at di binibigo ang walang pag-asa.

19 Ang taong matuwid, may suliranin man,
    sa tulong ni Yahweh, agad maiibsan.
20 Kukupkupin(D) siya nang lubus-lubusan,
    kahit isang buto'y hindi mababali.
21 Ngunit ang masama, ay kasamaan din
    sa taglay na buhay ang siyang kikitil.

22 Mga lingkod niya'y kanyang ililigtas,
    sa nagpapasakop, siya ang mag-iingat!

Those Who Trust in God Are Happy

34 I will honor the Lord at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth. My soul will be proud to tell about the Lord. Let those who suffer hear it and be filled with joy. Give great honor to the Lord with me. Let us praise His name together.

I looked for the Lord, and He answered me. And He took away all my fears. They looked to Him and their faces shined with joy. Their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him. And He saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord stays close around those who fear Him, and He takes them out of trouble.

O taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who trusts in Him! O fear the Lord, all you who belong to Him. For those who fear Him never want for anything. 10 The young lions suffer want and hunger. But they who look for the Lord will not be without any good thing. 11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord. 12 Who is the man who has a desire for life, and wants to live long so that he may see good things? 13 Keep your tongue from sin and your lips from speaking lies. 14 Turn away from what is sinful. Do what is good. Look for peace and follow it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on those who do what is right and good. His ears are open to their cry. 16 The face of the Lord is against those who sin. He will keep the people of the earth from remembering them. 17 Those who are right with the Lord cry, and He hears them. And He takes them from all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. And He saves those who are broken in spirit.

19 A man who does what is right and good may have many troubles. But the Lord takes him out of them all. 20 He keeps all his bones safe. Not one of them is broken. 21 Sin will kill the sinful. And those who hate God’s people will be held guilty and punished forever. 22 The Lord saves the soul of those who work for Him. None of those who trust in Him will be held guilty.

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
