Ang Biblia (1978)

Ang Panginoon ay taga pagbigay at taga pagligtas. ^(A)Awit ni David; nang siya'y magbago ng kilos sa harap ni Abimelek, na siyang nagpalayas sa kaniya, at siya'y yumaon.

34 Aking pupurihin ^(B)ang Panginoon sa buong panahon:
Ang pagpuri sa kaniya ay laging sasa aking bibig.
²Ang aking kaluluwa ay maghahambog ^(C)sa Panginoon:
Maririnig ng maamo at masasayahan.
³Oh dakilain ninyo na kasama ko ang Panginoon,
At tayo'y mangagbunyi na magkakasama ng kaniyang pangalan.
⁴^(D)Aking hinanap ang Panginoon, at sinagot niya ako,
At iniligtas niya ako sa lahat ng aking mga katakutan.
⁵Sila'y nagsitingin sa kaniya, at ^(E)nangaliwanagan:
At ang kanilang mukha ay hindi malilito kailan man.
⁶Itong abang tao'y dumaing, at dininig siya ng Panginoon.
At iniligtas siya sa lahat niyang mga kabagabagan.
⁷^(F)Ang anghel ng Panginoon ay ^(G)humahantong sa buong palibot ng nangatatakot sa kaniya,
At ipinagsasanggalang sila.
⁸^(H)Oh inyong tikman at tingnan ninyo na ang Panginoon ay mabuti:
^(I)Mapalad ang tao na nanganganlong sa kaniya.
⁹Oh mangatakot kayo sa Panginoon, kayong mga banal niya:
Sapagka't walang kakulangan sa kanila na nangatatakot sa kaniya.
¹⁰Ang mga ^(J)batang leon ay kinakapos at nagtitiis ng gutom.
^(K)Nguni't silang nagsisihanap sa Panginoon ay hindi kukulangin ng anomang mabuting bagay.
¹¹Magsiparito kayo, kayong mga anak, dinggin ninyo ako:
Aking tuturuan kayo ng pagkatakot sa Panginoon.
¹²^(L)Sinong tao ang nagnanasa ng buhay,
At umiibig sa maraming kaarawan upang makakita siya ng mabuti?
¹³Ingatan mo ang iyong dila mula sa masama.
At ang iyong mga labi ^(M)sa pagsasalita ng karayaan.
¹⁴^(N)Lumayo ka sa kasamaan, at gumawa ka ng mabuti;
^(O)Hanapin mo ang kapayapaan at habulin mo.
¹⁵^(P)Ang mga mata ng Panginoon ay nakatitig sa mga matuwid,
At ang kaniyang mga pakinig ay nakabukas sa kanilang daing.
¹⁶^(Q)Ang mukha ng Panginoon ay laban sa kanila na nagsisigawa ng kasamaan,
^(R)Upang ihiwalay ang alaala sa kanila sa lupa.
¹⁷Ang matuwid ay nagsidaing, at dininig ng Panginoon,
At iniligtas sila sa lahat nilang mga kabagabagan.
¹⁸Ang Panginoon ay malapit ^(S)sa kanila na may bagbag na puso,
At inililigtas ang mga may pagsisising diwa.
¹⁹^(T)Marami ang kadalamhatian ng matuwid;
Nguni't inililigtas ng Panginoon sa lahat.
²⁰Kaniyang iniingatan ang lahat niyang mga buto:
^(U)Wala isa man sa mga yaon na nababali.
²¹Papatayin ng kasamaan ang masama:
At silang nangagagalit sa matuwid na tao ay kikilanling may sala.
²²^(V)Tinutubos ng Panginoon ang kaluluwa ng kaniyang mga lingkod:
At wala sa nagsisipagkanlong sa kaniya ay kikilanling may sala.

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

²My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

³O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

⁴I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

⁵They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

⁶This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

⁸O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

⁹O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

¹⁰The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

¹¹Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

¹²What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

¹³Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

¹⁴Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁵The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

¹⁶The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

¹⁷The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

¹⁸The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

²⁰He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

²¹Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

²²The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Taste and See That the Lord Is Good

^[a] Of David, when he ^(A)changed his behavior before ^(B)Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.

34 I will bless the Lord ^(C)at all times;
    his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
²My soul ^(D)makes its boast in the Lord;
    let the humble hear and ^(E)be glad.
³Oh, ^(F)magnify the Lord with me,
    and let us exalt his name together!

⁴I ^(G)sought the Lord, and he answered me
    and delivered me from all my fears.
⁵Those who look to him are ^(H)radiant,
    and their faces shall never be ashamed.

    to ^(AC)cut off the memory of them from the earth.
¹⁷^(AD)When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
    and delivers them out of all their troubles.
¹⁸The Lord is near to ^(AE)the brokenhearted
    and saves ^(AF)the crushed in spirit.

¹⁹^(AG)Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
    ^(AH)but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
²⁰He keeps all his bones;
    ^(AI)not one of them is broken.
²¹^(AJ)Affliction will slay the wicked,
    and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
²²The Lord ^(AK)redeems the life of his servants;
    none of those who take refuge in him will be ^(AL)condemned.

Of David. When he pretended to be insane^(A) before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.

¹I will extol the Lord at all times;^(B)
    his praise will always be on my lips.
²I will glory^(C) in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.^(D)
³Glorify the Lord^(E) with me;
    let us exalt^(F) his name together.

⁴I sought the Lord,^(G) and he answered me;
    he delivered^(H) me from all my fears.
⁵Those who look to him are radiant;^(I)
    their faces are never covered with shame.^(J)
⁶This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.^(K)
⁷The angel of the Lord^(L) encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers^(M) them.

⁸Taste and see that the Lord is good;^(N)
    blessed is the one who takes refuge^(O) in him.
⁹Fear the Lord,^(P) you his holy people,
    for those who fear him lack nothing.^(Q)
¹⁰The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.^(R)

²⁰he protects all his bones,

²¹Evil will slay the wicked;^(AM)
the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
²²The Lord will rescue^(AN) his servants;
no one who takes refuge^(AO) in him will be condemned.
