Ang Biblia (1978)
Papuri sa Lumalang at sa tagaingat.
33 Mangagalak kayo sa Panginoon, (A)Oh kayong mga matuwid:
Pagpuri ay maganda (B)sa ganang matuwid.
2 Kayo'y mangagpasamalat sa Panginoon na may alpa:
Magsiawit kayo ng mga pagpuri sa kaniya na may salterio na sangpung kuerdas.
3 (C)Magsiawit kayo sa kaniya ng bagong awit;
Magsitugtog kayong matalino na may malaking ingay.
4 Sapagka't ang salita ng Panginoon ay matuwid;
At lahat niyang gawa ay ginawa sa pagtatapat.
5 (D)Iniibig niya ang katuwiran at kahatulan:
Ang lupa ay puno (E)ng kagandahang-loob ng Panginoon.
6 (F)Sa pamamagitan ng salita ng Panginoon ay nayari ang mga langit;
At lahat ng natatanaw roon ay sa pamamagitan ng hinga ng kaniyang bibig.
7 (G)Kaniyang pinipisan ang tubig ng dagat na parang isang bunton:
Inilalagay niya ang mga kalaliman sa mga kalawakan.
8 Matakot nawa ang buong lupa sa Panginoon:
Magsitayo nawang may takot ang lahat ng taga sanglibutan sa kaniya.
9 Sapagka't (H)siya'y nagsalita, at nangyari;
Siya'y nagutos, at tumayong matatag.
10 (I)Dinadala ng Panginoon sa wala ang payo ng mga bansa:
Kaniyang niwawalang halaga ang mga pagiisip ng mga bayan.
11 Ang payo ng Panginoon ay nanganayong matibay magpakailan man,
Ang mga pagiisip ng kaniyang puso sa lahat ng sali't saling lahi.
12 (J)Mapalad ang bansa na ang Dios ay ang Panginoon;
Ang bayan na kaniyang pinili sa ganang kaniyang sariling mana.
13 Ang Panginoon ay tumitingin mula sa langit;
Kaniyang minamasdan ang lahat na anak ng mga tao;
14 Mula sa dakong kaniyang tahanan ay tumitingin siya
Sa lahat na nangananahan sa lupa;
15 Siyang naghuhugis ng mga puso nilang lahat,
Na nagmamasid sa lahat nilang mga gawa.
16 (K)Walang hari na nakaliligtas sa pamamagitan ng karamihan ng hukbo:
Ang makapangyarihang tao ay hindi naliligtas sa pamamagitan ng malaking kalakasan.
17 Ang kabayo ay (L)walang kabuluhang bagay sa pagliligtas:
Ni hindi niya iniligtas ang sinoman sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang malaking kalakasan;
18 (M)Narito, ang mata ng Panginoon ay nasa kanila na nangatatakot sa kaniya,
Sa kanila na nagsisiasa sa kaniyang kagandahang-loob;
19 Upang iligtas ang kaniyang kaluluwa sa kamatayan,
At (N)upang ingatan silang buháy sa kagutom.
20 Hinintay ng aming kaluluwa ang Panginoon:
(O)Siya'y aming saklolo at aming kalasag.
21 Sapagka't ang aming puso ay magagalak (P)sa kaniya,
Sapagka't kami ay nagsitiwala sa kaniyang banal na pangalan.
22 Sumaamin nawa ang iyong kagandahang-loob, Oh Panginoon,
Ayon sa aming pagasa sa iyo.

Awit ng Papuri
33 Kayong mga matuwid,
sumigaw kayo sa galak,
dahil sa ginawa ng Panginoon!
Kayong namumuhay ng tama,
nararapat ninyo siyang purihin!
2 Pasalamatan ninyo ang Panginoon
sa pamamagitan ng mga alpa at mga instrumentong may mga kwerdas.
3 Awitan ninyo siya ng bagong awit.
Tugtugan ninyo siya ng buong husay,
at sumigaw kayo sa tuwa.
4 Ang salita ng Panginoon ay matuwid,
at maaasahan ang kanyang mga gawa.
5 Ninanais ng Panginoon ang katuwiran at katarungan.
Makikita sa buong mundo ang kanyang pagmamahal.
6 Sa pamamagitan ng salita ng Panginoon,
ang langit ay nalikha;
sa kanyang hininga nagmula ang araw, buwan at mga bituin.
7 Inipon niya ang dagat[a] na parang inilagay sa isang sisidlan.
8 Ang lahat ng tao sa daigdig ay dapat matakot sa Panginoon,
9 dahil nang siyaʼy nagsalita, nalikha ang mundo;
siyaʼy nag-utos at lumitaw ang lahat.
10 Sinisira ng Panginoon ang mga plano ng mga bansang hindi kumikilala sa kanya.
Sinasalungat niya ang kanilang binabalak.
11 Ngunit ang mga plano ng Panginoon ay mananatili magpakailanman,
at ang kanyang mga balak, sa saliʼt saling lahi ay matutupad.
12 Mapalad ang bansa na ang Dios ay ang Panginoon.
At mapalad ang mga taong pinili niya na maging kanya.
13 Mula sa langit ay minamasdan ng Panginoon ang lahat ng tao.
14 Mula sa kanyang luklukan,
tinitingnan niya ang lahat ng narito sa mundo.
15 Siya ang nagbigay ng puso sa mga tao,
at nauunawaan niya ang lahat ng kanilang ginagawa.
16 Hindi nananalo ang isang hari dahil sa dami ng kanyang kawal,
at hindi naman naililigtas ang kawal gamit ang kanyang lakas.
17 Ang mga kabayo ay hindi maaasahan na maipanalo ang digmaan;
hindi sila makapagliligtas sa kabila ng kanilang kalakasan.
18 Ngunit binabantayan ng Panginoon ang mga may takot sa kanya,
sila na nagtitiwala sa kanyang pag-ibig.
19 Silaʼy inililigtas niya sa kamatayan,
at sa panahon ng taggutom, silaʼy kanyang inaalalayan.
20 Tayoʼy naghihintay nang may pagtitiwala sa Panginoon.
Siya ang tumutulong at sa atin ay nagtatanggol.
21 Nagagalak tayo,
dahil tayoʼy nagtitiwala sa kanyang banal na pangalan.
22 Panginoon, sumaamin nawa ang inyong matapat na pag-ibig.
Ang aming pag-asa ay nasa inyo.

33 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

1 Sing joyfully(A) to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting(B) for the upright(C) to praise him.
2 Praise the Lord with the harp;(D)
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.(E)
3 Sing to him a new song;(F)
play skillfully, and shout for joy.(G)
4 For the word of the Lord is right(H) and true;(I)
he is faithful(J) in all he does.
5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice;(K)
the earth is full of his unfailing love.(L)
6 By the word(M) of the Lord the heavens were made,(N)
their starry host(O) by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters(P) of the sea into jars[a];(Q)
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;(R)
let all the people of the world(S) revere him.(T)
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded,(U) and it stood firm.
10 The Lord foils(V) the plans(W) of the nations;(X)
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm(Y) forever,
the purposes(Z) of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,(AA)
the people he chose(AB) for his inheritance.(AC)
13 From heaven the Lord looks down(AD)
and sees all mankind;(AE)
14 from his dwelling place(AF) he watches
all who live on earth—
15 he who forms(AG) the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.(AH)
16 No king is saved by the size of his army;(AI)
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse(AJ) is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes(AK) of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,(AL)
19 to deliver them from death(AM)
and keep them alive in famine.(AN)
