118 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
7 The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.
11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
12 They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
27 God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
29 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

118 Deem graças ao Senhor, porque ele é bom;
seu amor dura para sempre!
2 Todo o Israel diga:
“Seu amor dura para sempre!”.
3 Os sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, digam:
“Seu amor dura para sempre!”.
4 Todos que temem o Senhor digam:
“Seu amor dura para sempre!”.
5 Em minha angústia, orei ao Senhor;
o Senhor me ouviu e me livrou.
6 O Senhor está comigo, portanto não temerei;
o que me podem fazer os simples mortais?
7 Sim, o Senhor está comigo, e ele me ajudará;
olharei com triunfo para os que me odeiam.
8 É melhor refugiar-se no Senhor
que confiar em pessoas.
9 É melhor refugiar-se no Senhor
que confiar em príncipes.
10 Todas as nações hostis me cercaram,
mas eu as destruí em nome do Senhor.
11 Sim, elas me cercaram de todos os lados,
mas eu as destruí em nome do Senhor.
12 Como um enxame de abelhas me rodearam
e arderam contra mim como um fogo crepitante,
mas eu as destruí em nome do Senhor.
13 Meus inimigos fizeram todo o possível para me derrubar,
mas o Senhor me sustentou.
14 O Senhor é minha força e meu cântico;
ele é minha salvação.
15 No acampamento dos justos há cânticos de alegria e vitória;
a mão direita do Senhor realizou grandes feitos!
16 A mão direita do Senhor se levanta em triunfo;
a mão direita do Senhor realizou grandes feitos!
17 Não morrerei; pelo contrário, viverei
para contar o que o Senhor fez.
18 O Senhor me castigou severamente,
mas não me deixou morrer.
19 Abram para mim as portas por onde entram os justos;
entrarei e darei graças ao Senhor.
20 Essas portas conduzem à presença do Senhor,
e os justos entram por elas.
21 Eu te dou graças porque respondeste à minha oração
e me deste vitória!
22 A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram
se tornou a pedra angular.
23 Isso é obra do Senhor
e é maravilhosa de ver.
24 Este é o dia que o Senhor fez;
nele nos alegraremos e exultaremos.
25 Ó Senhor, por favor, salva-nos!
Ó Senhor, dá-nos sucesso!
26 Bendito é o que vem em nome do Senhor;
nós os abençoamos da casa do Senhor.
27 O Senhor é Deus e resplandece sobre nós;
peguem o sacrifício e amarrem-no com cordas sobre o altar.
28 Tu és meu Deus, e eu te louvarei!
Tu és meu Deus, e eu te exaltarei!

4 Let those who fear the Lord(G) say:
“His love endures forever.”
5 When hard pressed,(H) I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.(I)
6 The Lord is with me;(J) I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?(K)
7 The Lord is with me; he is my helper.(L)
I look in triumph on my enemies.(M)
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord(N)
than to trust in humans.(O)
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.(P)
10 All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.(Q)
11 They surrounded me(R) on every side,(S)
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,(T)
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;(U)
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.(V)
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.(W)
14 The Lord is my strength(X) and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.(Y)
15 Shouts of joy(Z) and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand(AA) has done mighty things!(AB)
16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die(AC) but live,
and will proclaim(AD) what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened(AE) me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.(AF)
19 Open for me the gates(AG) of the righteous;
I will enter(AH) and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord(AI)
through which the righteous may enter.(AJ)
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;(AK)
you have become my salvation.(AL)
22 The stone(AM) the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;(AN)
23 the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous(AO) in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.(AP)
25 Lord, save us!(AQ)
Lord, grant us success!
26 Blessed is he who comes(AR) in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.[b](AS)
27 The Lord is God,(AT)
and he has made his light shine(AU) on us.
With boughs in hand,(AV) join in the festal procession
up[c] to the horns of the altar.(AW)
29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
