6 ¶ Fè atansyon lè n'ap fè devwa nou pou Bondye pou nou pa fè l' yon jan pou fè moun wè. Lè nou fè l' konsa, Papa nou ki nan syèl la p'ap ban nou okenn rekonpans.
2 Se sa ki fè tou, lè w'ap bay yon moun ki nan nesesite kichòy, ou pa bezwen fè tout moun wè sa, tankou ipokrit yo fè l' nan sinagòg ak nan lari. Yo fè sa pou moun ka fè lwanj yo. Sa m'ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Konsa, yo tou jwenn rekonpans yo.
3 Men, lè w'ap ede moun ki nan nesesite, fè l' yon jan pou menm pi bon zanmi ou pa konn sa.
4 Konsa, kado ou fè a rete yon sekrè. Papa ou menm ki wè sa ou fè an sekrè a va ba ou rekonpans ou.
5 ¶ Lè n'ap lapriyè, pa fè tankou ipokrit yo ki renmen kanpe nan mitan sinagòg ak nan pwent kalfou pou yo lapriyè. Yo fè sa pou moun kapab wè yo. Sa m'ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Konsa, yo tou jwenn rekonpans yo.
6 Men ou menm, lè w'ap lapriyè, antre nan chanm ou. Fèmen pòt ou. Lapriyè Papa ou ki la pou kont li avè ou. Konsa, Papa ou menm ki wè sa ou fè an sekrè a, se li ki va ba ou rekonpans ou.
7 Lè w'ap lapriyè, pa plede repete yon bann pawòl pou gremesi. Se konsa moun lòt nasyon yo fè. Yo mete nan tèt yo Bondye va tande yo si yo pale anpil.
8 Piga nou fè tankou moun sa yo. Paske, Papa nou tou konnen sa nou bezwen anvan menm nou mande li.
9 ¶ Men ki jan pou nou lapriyè: Papa nou ki nan syèl la, Nou mande pou yo toujou respekte non ou.
10 vin tabli gouvènman ou, pou yo fè volonte ou sou latè, tankou yo fè l' nan syèl la.
11 Manje nou bezwen an, ban nou l' jòdi a.
12 Padonnen tout sa nou fè ki mal, menm jan nou padonnen moun ki fè nou mal.
13 Pa kite nou nan pozisyon pou n' tonbe nan tantasyon, men, delivre nou anba Satan. Paske, se pou ou tout otorite, tout pouvwa ak tout lwanj, depi tout tan ak pou tout tan. Amèn
14 Si nou padonnen moun lè yo fè nou mal, Papa nou ki nan syèl la va padonnen nou tou.
15 Men, si nou pa padonnen moun lè yo fè nou mal, Papa nou p'ap padonnen peche nou yo non plis.
16 ¶ Lè n'ap fè jèn, pa pran pòz kagou nou tankou ipokrit yo: Y'ap mache ak figi yo rale konsa pou tout moun ka wè y'ap fè jèn. Sa m'ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Konsa, yo tou jwenn rekonpans yo.
17 Men ou menm, lè w'ap fè jèn, penyen tèt ou byen penyen, lave figi ou byen lave.
18 Konsa, moun p'ap wè si w'ap fè jèn. Papa ou ki la pou kont li avè ou, se li ase ki konn sa. Konsa, Papa ou menm ki wè sa ou fè an sekrè a, se li ki va ba ou rekonpans ou.
19 ¶ Pa anpile richès nou isit sou latè, kote vè ak lawouj ap manje yo, kote vòlè kapab vòlè yo pote ale.
20 Okontrè, anpile richès nou nan syèl la. Paske la pa gen vè ni lawouj ki pou manje yo, ni vòlè ki pou pran yo pote ale.
21 Paske, kote richès ou ye, se la kè ou ye tou.
22 Je ou se tankou yon lanp li ye pou kò ou. Si je ou an bon eta, tout kò ou va nan limyè.
23 Men, si je ou an move eta, tout kò ou va nan fènwa. Se sa ki fè, si limyè ki anndan ou la se fènwa li ye, se pa ti fè nwa anndan ou fè nwa.
24 Pesonn pa ka sèvi byen ak de mèt an menm tan. Li gen pou l' rayi yonn si l' renmen lòt la. L'ap sèvi byen ak yonn, men l'ap meprize lòt la. Nou pa kapab sèvi Bondye ak lajan an menm tan.
25 ¶ Se poutèt sa, mwen di nou: Pa bat kò nou pou sa nou bezwen pou manje ak bwè pou viv, ni pou rad nou bezwen pou mete sou kò nou. Eske lavi a pa pi konsekan pase manje? Eske kò a pa gen plis valè pase rad?
26 Gade zwazo k'ap vole nan syèl la: yo pa plante, yo pa fè rekòt, yo pa sere anyen nan galata. Men, Papa nou ki nan syèl la ba yo manje. Eske nou pa vo pi plis pase zwazo yo?
27 Kilès nan nou, afòs li fè tèt li travay, kapab mete kèk lanne an plis sou lavi l'?
28 Poukisa pou n'ap bat kò nou pou rad pou nou mete sou nou? Gade ki jan flè raje yo pouse nan savann. Yo pa travay, yo pa fè rad.
29 Malgre sa, m'ap di nou sa, wa Salomon ki wa Salomon, ak tout richès li yo, pa t' gen bèl rad tankou yonn nan flè sa yo.
30 Se konsa Bondye abiye pye zèb yo ki la nan jaden an jòdi a, men denmen yo jete sa nan dife pou chofe fou. Nou pa bezwen mande si li p'ap abiye nou tou. Ala manke nou manke konfyans nan Bondye!
31 Pa chaje tèt nou ak yon bann keksyon: Kisa n' pral manje? Kisa n' pral bwè? Kisa n' pral mete sou nou?
32 Tout bagay sa yo, se moun lòt nasyon yo k'ap kouri dèyè yo tout tan. Men nou menm, nou gen yon Papa nan syèl la ki konnen nou bezwen tout bagay sa yo.
33 Pito nou chache bay bagay peyi Wa ki nan syèl la premye plas nan lavi nou, chache viv jan Bondye vle l' la anvan. Lè sa a, Bondye va ban nou tout lòt bagay sa yo tou.
34 Se sa ki fè, pa chaje tèt nou pou denmen, paske denmen va gen zafè pa li. Chak jou gen kont chay pa yo.

6 “Tenham cuidado! Não pratiquem suas boas ações em público, para serem admirados por outros, pois não receberão a recompensa de seu Pai, que está no céu. 2 Quando ajudarem alguém necessitado, não façam como os hipócritas que tocam trombetas nas sinagogas e nas ruas para serem elogiados pelos outros. Eu lhes digo a verdade: eles não receberão outra recompensa além dessa. 3 Mas, quando ajudarem alguém necessitado, não deixem que a mão esquerda saiba o que a direita está fazendo. 4 Deem sua ajuda em segredo, e seu Pai, que observa em segredo, os recompensará.”

5 “Quando vocês orarem, não sejam como os hipócritas, que gostam de orar em público nas sinagogas e nas esquinas, onde todos possam vê-los. Eu lhes digo a verdade: eles não receberão outra recompensa além dessa. 6 Mas, quando orarem, cada um vá para seu quarto, feche a porta e ore a seu Pai, em segredo. Então seu Pai, que observa em segredo, os recompensará.
7 “Ao orar, não repitam frases vazias sem parar, como fazem os gentios. Eles acham que, se repetirem as palavras várias vezes, suas orações serão respondidas. 8 Não sejam como eles, pois seu Pai sabe exatamente do que vocês precisam antes mesmo de pedirem.
9 “Portanto, orem da seguinte forma:
Pai nosso que estás no céu,
santificado seja o teu nome.
10 Venha o teu reino.
Seja feita a tua vontade,
assim na terra como no céu.
11 Dá-nos hoje o pão para este dia,[a]
12 e perdoa nossas dívidas,
assim como perdoamos os nossos devedores.
13 E não nos deixes cair em tentação,[b]
mas livra-nos do mal.[c]
Pois teu é o reino, o poder e a glória para sempre. Amém.[d]
14 “Seu Pai celestial os perdoará se perdoarem aqueles que pecam contra vocês. 15 Mas, se vocês se recusarem a perdoar os outros, seu Pai não perdoará seus pecados.”

16 “Quando jejuarem, não façam como os hipócritas, que se esforçam para parecer tristes e desarrumados a fim de que as pessoas percebam que estão jejuando. Eu lhes digo a verdade: eles não receberão outra recompensa além dessa. 17 Mas, quando jejuarem, penteiem o cabelo[e] e lavem o rosto. 18 Desse modo, ninguém notará que estão jejuando, exceto seu Pai, que sabe o que vocês fazem em segredo. E seu Pai, que observa em segredo, os recompensará.”

19 “Não ajuntem tesouros aqui na terra, onde as traças e a ferrugem os destroem, e onde ladrões arrombam casas e os furtam. 20 Ajuntem seus tesouros no céu, onde traças e ferrugem não destroem, e onde ladrões não arrombam nem furtam. 21 Onde seu tesouro estiver, ali também estará seu coração.
22 “Seus olhos são como uma lâmpada que ilumina todo o corpo. Quando os olhos são bons, todo o corpo se enche de luz. 23 Mas, quando os olhos são maus, o corpo se enche de escuridão. E, se a luz que há em vocês é, na verdade, escuridão, como é profunda essa escuridão!
24 “Ninguém pode servir a dois senhores, pois odiará um e amará o outro; será dedicado a um e desprezará o outro. Vocês não podem servir a Deus e ao dinheiro.”[f]

25 “Por isso eu lhes digo que não se preocupem com a vida diária, se terão o suficiente para comer, beber ou vestir. A vida não é mais que comida, e o corpo não é mais que roupa? 26 Observem os pássaros. Eles não plantam nem colhem, nem guardam alimento em celeiros, pois seu Pai celestial os alimenta. Acaso vocês não são muito mais valiosos que os pássaros? 27 Qual de vocês, por mais preocupado que esteja, pode acrescentar ao menos uma hora à sua vida?[g]
28 “E por que se preocupar com a roupa? Observem como crescem os lírios do campo. Não trabalham nem fazem roupas 29 e, no entanto, nem Salomão em toda a sua glória se vestiu como eles. 30 E, se Deus veste com tamanha beleza as flores silvestres que hoje estão aqui e amanhã são lançadas ao fogo, não será muito mais generoso com vocês, gente de pequena fé?
31 “Portanto, não se preocupem, dizendo: ‘O que vamos comer? O que vamos beber? O que vamos vestir?’. 32 Essas coisas ocupam o pensamento dos pagãos, mas seu Pai celestial já sabe do que vocês precisam. 33 Busquem, em primeiro lugar, o reino de Deus e a sua justiça, e todas essas coisas lhes serão dadas.
34 “Portanto, não se preocupem com o amanhã, pois o amanhã trará suas próprias inquietações. Bastam para hoje os problemas deste dia.”

6 Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
2 When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.
5 And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee. 7 And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not therefore like unto them: for [a]your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us this day [b]our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from [c]the evil one. [d] 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face; 18 that thou be not seen of men to fast, but of thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall recompense thee.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not [e]break through nor steal: 21 for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also. 22 The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? 26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto [f]the measure of his life? 28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
