22 ¶ Antan Jezi t'ap pale ak moun yo, li pran rakonte yo yon lòt parabòl:
2 Nan Peyi Wa ki nan syèl la, se tankou yon wa ki t'ap fete nòs pitit gason li.
3 Li voye domestik li yo rele moun ki te envite nan nòs la. Men, yo yonn pa t' vle vini.
4 Lè sa a, wa a voye lòt domestik, li di yo: Ale di envite yo manje a pare koulye a. Mwen gen tan fè touye towo bèf mwen yo ak lòt bèt gra mwen yo. Tout bagay pare. vin nan nòs la.
5 Men, envite yo pa fè ka sa l' voye di yo a, y al okipe zafè yo. Yonn ladan yo ale nan jaden l', yon lòt ale nan trafik li.
6 Gen ladan yo ki pran domestik yo, yo maltrete yo, yo touye yo.
7 Wa a fè yon gwo kòlè, li voye sòlda l' yo touye ansasen yo. Apre sa, li fè mete dife nan lavil yo a.
8 Lè sa a, li di domestik li yo: Manje nòs la pare, men moun ki te envite yo pa t' merite sa.
9 Ale sou granchemen, envite tout moun nou jwenn pou yo vini nan nòs la.
10 Domestik yo ale nan tout granchemen, yo sanble tout moun yo jwenn, ni move ni bon. Konsa, kote yo t'ap fè nòs la te plen moun.
11 Wa a vin antre pou wè envite yo. Je l' al tonbe sou yon nonm ki pa t' abiye ak rad nòs la.
12 Wa a di li: Zanmi, kouman ou fè antre isit la san ou pa mete rad nòs la sou ou? Nonm lan pa di yon mo.
13 Wa a di domestik li yo: Mare de pye l' ak de men l', voye l' jete deyò nan fènwa a. Se la la gen pou l' kriye, pou l' manje dan li.
14 Paske, yo envite anpil moun, men se de twa ase y'a chwazi.
15 ¶ Lè sa a, farizyen yo ale, yo mete tèt yo ansanm pou wè ki jan yo ta ka pran pawòl nan bouch Jezi pou akize li.
16 Yo voye disip pa yo ansanm ak patizan Ewòd yo bò kot Jezi pou mande li: Mèt, nou konnen ou se moun ki kare. W'ap moutre chemen Bondye a jan l' ye a, ou pa pè pesonn. Paske, ou pa gade sou figi moun.
17 Enben, kisa ou di nan sa: Eske lalwa pèmèt nou peye Seza lajan kontribisyon an, wi ou non?
18 Men, Jezi te konnen move lide yo te gen dèyè tèt yo, li reponn: Poukisa n'ap chache pran m' nan pèlen konsa, bann ipokrit?
19 Moutre m' pyès lajan nou sèvi pou peye taks la. Yo moutre l' yon pyès lajan.
20 Jezi mande yo: Pòtre ki moun avèk non ki moun ki sou li?
21 Yo reponn li: Se pòtre Seza ak non Seza. Lè sa a li di yo: Bay Seza sa ki pou Seza, bay Bondye sa ki pou Bondye.
22 Lè yo tande sa, yo pa t' manke sezi. Yo kite l', y al fè wout yo.
23 ¶ Menm jou a, sadiseyen yo vin bò kot Jezi. (Se sadiseyen yo ki di moun mouri pa leve). Yo poze Jezi keksyon sa a:
24 Mèt, Moyiz te di si yon nonm mouri san kite pitit, frè l' gen pou marye ak madanm defen an pou l' ka fè pitit pou frè l' ki mouri a.
25 Se konsa, te gen sèt frè, moun isit ansanm ak nou. Premye a marye, li mouri san l' pa t' gen pitit. Li kite madanm li pou frè li.
26 Dezyèm lan pase menm jan an tou. Twazyèm lan tou. Konsa, konsa, jouk tout sèt frè yo fin pase.
27 Apre yo tout fin mouri, fanm lan mouri li menm tou.
28 Lè mò yo va gen pou leve, madanm kilès li pral ye la a? Paske, li te madanm yo tout.
29 Jezi reponn yo: Nou nan lerè wi. Nou pa konprann sa ki ekri nan Liv la, ni nou pa konnen pouvwa Bondye.
30 Lè mò yo va gen pou leve, fanm ak gason pa nan marye ankò. Tout moun pral viv tankou zanj Bondye nan syèl la.
31 Pou keksyon mò yo k'ap leve vivan ankò, èske nou pa li sa Bondye te di nou:
32 Mwen se Bondye Abraram, Bondye Izarak, Bondye Jakòb? Bondye pa Bondye moun mouri, li se Bondye moun vivan.
33 Tout moun ki t'ap koute l' yo te sezi tande sa l' t'ap di yo.
34 ¶ Lè farizyen yo tande jan Jezi te fèmen bouch sadiseyen yo, yo tout sanble. Yo te vle pran Jezi nan pèlen.
35 Yonn ladan yo ki te dirèktè lalwa mande li:
36 Mèt, ki kòmandman ki pi konsekan nan tout lalwa a?
37 Jezi reponn li: Se pou ou renmen Mèt la, Bondye, ou ak tout kè ou, ak tout nanm ou, ak tout lide ou.
38 Se kòmandman sa a ki pi gwo, ki pi konsekan.
39 Men dezyèm kòmandman an ki gen menm enpòtans ak premye a: se pou ou renmen frè parèy ou tankou ou renmen pwòp tèt pa ou.
40 De kòmandman sa yo, se yo ki fondasyon tou sa ki nan lalwa Moyiz la ak tou sa pwofèt yo te moutre.
41 ¶ Antan farizyen yo te sanble, Jezi poze yo keksyon sa a:
42 Dapre nou, kisa Kris la ye? Pitit kilès li ye? Yo reponn li: Li se pitit pitit David!
43 Jezi di yo: Bon, kouman David fè rele l' Seyè? Paske se Lespri Bondye a menm ki te fè l' di:
44 Bondye te di Seyè mwen an: Chita la sou bò dwat mwen, jouk tan mwen mete lènmi ou yo anba pye ou.
45 Si David rele Kris la Seyè, ki jan pou Kris la ka pitit pitit David?
46 Okenn moun pa t' kapab reponn li yon mo. Depi jou sa a pesonn pa t' gen odas poze l' keksyon ankò.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet(A)
22 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like(B) a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants(C) to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4 “Then he sent some more servants(D) and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers(E) and burned their city.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners(F) and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good,(G) and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend(H)?’ The man was speechless.
13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’(I)
14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”(J)
Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar(K)
15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians.(L) “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax[a](M) to Caesar or not?”
18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? 19 Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”
21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.
Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s,(N) and to God what is God’s.”
22 When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.(O)
Marriage at the Resurrection(P)
23 That same day the Sadducees,(Q) who say there is no resurrection,(R) came to him with a question. 24 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.(S) 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27 Finally, the woman died. 28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”
29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures(T) or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage;(U) they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[b]?(V) He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.(W)
The Greatest Commandment(X)
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees,(Y) the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law,(Z) tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c](AA) 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d](AB) 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”(AC)
Whose Son Is the Messiah?(AD)
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”
“The son of David,”(AE) they replied.
43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,
44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.”’[e](AF)
45 If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?” 46 No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.(AG)

Parabola delle nozze
22 (A)Gesú ricominciò a parlare loro in *parabole, dicendo:
2 «Il regno dei cieli è simile a un re, il quale fece le nozze di suo figlio. 3 Mandò i suoi servi a chiamare gli invitati alle nozze; ma questi non vollero venire. 4 Mandò una seconda volta altri servi, dicendo: “Dite agli invitati: Io ho preparato il mio pranzo; i miei buoi e i miei animali ingrassati sono ammazzati; tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze”. 5 Ma quelli, non curandosene, se ne andarono, chi al suo campo, chi al suo commercio; 6 altri poi, presero i suoi servi, li maltrattarono e li uccisero. 7 Allora il re si adirò, mandò le sue truppe a sterminare quegli omicidi e a bruciare la loro città. 8 Quindi disse ai suoi servi: “Le nozze sono pronte, ma gli invitati non ne erano degni. 9 Andate dunque ai crocicchi delle strade e chiamate alle nozze quanti troverete”. 10 E quei servi, usciti per le strade, radunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, cattivi e buoni; e la sala delle nozze fu piena di commensali. 11 Ora il re entrò per vedere quelli che erano a tavola e notò là un uomo che non aveva l'abito di nozze. 12 E gli disse: “Amico, come sei entrato qui senza avere un abito di nozze?” E costui rimase con la bocca chiusa. 13 Allora il re disse ai servitori: “Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo nelle *tenebre di fuori. Lí sarà il pianto e lo stridor dei denti”. 14 Poiché molti sono i chiamati, ma pochi gli eletti».
Il tributo a Cesare
15 (B)Allora i *farisei si ritirarono e tennero consiglio per vedere di coglierlo in fallo nelle sue parole.
16 E gli mandarono i loro discepoli con gli *erodiani a dirgli: «Maestro, noi sappiamo che sei sincero e insegni la via di Dio secondo verità, e non hai riguardi per nessuno, perché non badi all'apparenza delle persone. 17 Dicci dunque: Che te ne pare? È lecito, o no, pagare il tributo[a] a *Cesare?» 18 Ma Gesú, conoscendo la loro malizia, disse: «Perché mi tentate, ipocriti? 19 Mostratemi la moneta del tributo». Ed essi gli porsero un *denaro. 20 Ed egli domandò loro: «Di chi è questa effigie e questa iscrizione?» 21 Gli risposero: «Di Cesare». E Gesú disse loro: «Rendete dunque a Cesare quello che è di Cesare, e a Dio quello che è di Dio». 22 Ed essi, udito ciò, si stupirono e, lasciatolo, se ne andarono.
Dibattito sulla risurrezione
23 (C)In quello stesso giorno vennero a lui dei *sadducei, i quali dicono che non vi è risurrezione, e gli domandarono: 24 «Maestro, *Mosè ha detto: “Se uno muore senza figli, il fratello suo sposi la moglie di lui e dia una discendenza a suo fratello[b]”. 25 Vi erano tra di noi sette fratelli; il primo, ammogliatosi, morí; e, non avendo prole, lasciò sua moglie a suo fratello. 26 Lo stesso fece pure il secondo, poi il terzo, fino al settimo. 27 Infine, dopo tutti, morí anche la donna. 28 Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette sarà ella moglie? Poiché tutti l'hanno avuta». 29 Ma Gesú rispose loro: «Voi errate, perché non conoscete le Scritture, né la potenza di Dio. 30 Perché alla risurrezione non si prende né si dà moglie; ma i risorti sono come angeli nei cieli. 31 Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto quello che vi è stato detto da Dio: 32 “Io sono il Dio d'*Abraamo, il Dio d'*Isacco e il Dio di *Giacobbe[c]”? Egli non è il Dio dei morti, ma dei vivi». 33 E la folla, udite queste cose, stupiva del suo insegnamento.
Il gran comandamento
34 (D)I farisei, udito che egli aveva chiuso la bocca ai sadducei, si radunarono; 35 e uno di loro, *dottore della legge, gli domandò, per metterlo alla prova: 36 «Maestro, qual è, nella legge, il gran comandamento?» 37 Gesú gli disse: «“Ama il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima e con tutta la tua mente[d]”. 38 Questo è il grande e il primo comandamento. 39 Il secondo, simile a questo, è: “Ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso[e]”. 40 Da questi due comandamenti dipendono tutta la legge e i *profeti».
Gesú interroga i farisei
41 (E)Essendo i farisei riuniti, Gesú li interrogò, 42 dicendo: «Che cosa pensate del Cristo? Di chi è figlio?» Essi gli risposero: «Di *Davide». 43 Ed egli a loro: «Come mai dunque Davide, ispirato dallo Spirito, lo chiama Signore, dicendo:
44 “Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore:
`Siedi alla mia destra
finché io abbia messo i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi[f]?´”
45 Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, come può essere suo figlio?» 46 E nessuno poteva replicargli parola; da quel giorno nessuno ardí piú interrogarlo.
