Matthew 23:21-28

²¹ And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by ^(A)him who dwells in it. ²² And whoever swears by ^(B)heaven swears by ^(C)the throne of God and by ^(D)him who sits upon it.

^23 (E)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ^(F)you tithe mint and dill and ^(G)cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: ^(H)justice and mercy and faithfulness. ^(I)These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. ²⁴ You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing ^(J)a camel!

^25 (K)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ^(L)you clean the outside of ^(M)the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of ^(N)greed and self-indulgence. ²⁶ You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of ^(O)the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.

^27 (P)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like ^(Q)whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and ^(R)all uncleanness. ²⁸ So you also ^(S)outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of ^(T)hypocrisy and lawlessness.
