14 But the Pharisees went out and [a](A)conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

15 But Jesus, [b]aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and (B)He healed them all, 16 and (C)warned them not to [c]tell who He was. 17 This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:

18 (D)Behold, My [d]Servant whom I [e]have chosen;
(E)My Beloved in whom My soul [f]delights;
(F)I will put My Spirit upon Him,
(G)And He will proclaim [g]justice to the [h]Gentiles.
19 (H)He will not quarrel, nor cry out;
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
20 (I)A bent reed He will not break off,
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish,
Until He [i]leads [j]justice to victory.
21 (J)And in His name the [k]Gentiles will hope.”
