²⁹ “^(A)Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs for the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, ³⁰ and you say, ‘If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ ³¹ So you testify against yourselves, that you ^(B)are ^[a]sons of those who murdered the prophets. ^32 [b]Fill up, then, the measure of the guilt of your fathers. ³³ You snakes, ^(C)you ^[c]offspring of vipers, how ^[d]will you escape the ^[e]sentence of ^[f](D)hell?

⁴ For ^(A)if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into ^[a]hell and ^(B)committed them to ^[b]pits of darkness, held for judgment;

⁷ just as ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah and the ^(B)cities around them, since they in the same way as these angels indulged in sexual perversion and ^(C)went after ^[a]strange flesh, are exhibited as an ^[b](D)example in undergoing the ^(E)punishment of eternal fire.

¹² These are the ones who are ^[a]hidden reefs ^(A)in your love feasts when they feast with you ^(B)without fear, like shepherds caring only for themselves; ^(C)clouds without water, ^(D)carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, ^[b]doubly dead, ^(E)uprooted; ^13 (F)wild waves of the sea, churning up ^(G)their own shameful deeds like dirty foam; wandering stars, ^(H)for whom the ^[c]gloom of darkness has been reserved forever.

⁹ These people will pay the penalty of ^(A)eternal destruction, ^(B)away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
