Matthew 9:7-9
Good News Translation
7 The man got up and went home. 8 When the people saw it, they were afraid, and praised God for giving such authority to people.
Jesus Calls Matthew(A)
9 Jesus left that place, and as he walked along, he saw a tax collector, named Matthew, sitting in his office. He said to him, “Follow me.”

7 Then the man got up and went home. 8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,(A) who had given such authority to man.
The Calling of Matthew(B)
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(C) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
