¹⁵ And Jesus said to them: Can the children of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then they shall fast.

⁶ And at midnight there was a cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye forth to meet him.

¹⁹ And Jesus saith to them: Can the children of the marriage fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

³⁴ To whom he said: Can you make the children of the bridegroom fast, whilst the bridegroom is with them?

²⁹ He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy therefore is fulfilled.
