4 Katahi ka mea a Ihu ki a ia, Kia mahara, kei korerotia ki te tangata; erangi haere, kia kite te tohunga i a koe, mauria atu hoki te whakahere i whakaritea e Mohi, hei mea whakaatu ki a ratou.
5 A, no ka tae a Ihu ki Kaperenauma, ka haere ki a ia tetahi keneturio, ka inoi ki a ia,
6 Ka mea, E te Ariki, ko taku pononga kei te whare e takoto ana, he pararutiki, e ngaua kinotia ana.
7 A ka mea a Ihu ki a ia, Ka haere ahau ki te whakaora i a ia.
8 Na ko te whakahokinga a te keneturio, ko te meatanga, E te Ariki, ehara ahau i te tikanga tangata e haere ake ai koe ki raro i toku tuanui; engari kia puaki kau tau kupu, a ka ora taku pononga.
9 He tangata hoki ahau e whakahaua ana, he hoia ano aku hei whakahaunga maku: ka mea ahau ki tenei, Haere, na ka haere ia; ki tetahi, Haere mai, a ka haere mai; ki taku pononga hoki, Meatia tenei, a ka meatia e ia.

11 Ko taku kupu ano tenei ki a koutou, He tokomaha e haere mai i te rawhiti, i te hauauru, a e noho tahi i a Aperahama, i a Ihaka, i a Hakopa, ki te rangatiratanga o te rangi:
12 Ko nga tamariki ia o te rangatiratanga ka maka ki te pouri i waho: ko te wahi tera o te tangi, o te tetea o nga niho.
13 Na ka mea a Ihu ki te keneturio, Haere, kia rite ki tou whakapono te meatanga ki a koe. A ora ake ana taua pononga i taua wa pu ano.
14 A, no ka tae a Ihu ki te whare o Pita, ka kite ia i tona hungawai wahine e takoto mate ana, he kirika.

18 Na, i te kitenga o Ihu he rahi te hui e mui ana ki a ia, ka whakahau ia kia whakawhiti ki tawahi.
19 A ka haere tetahi karaipi, ka mea ki a ia, E te Kaiwhakaako, ka aru ahau i a koe ki nga wahi katoa e haere ai koe.
20 A ka mea a Ihu ki a ia, He rua o nga pokiha, he kowhanga o nga manu o te rangi; tena ko te Tama a te tangata, kahore ona wahi e takoto ai tona matenga.
21 A i mea tetahi atu o ana akonga ki a ia, E te Ariki tukua ahau kia matua haere ki te tanu i toku papa.
22 Na ka mea a Ihu ki a ia, Arumia ahau: a waiho ma nga tupapaku e tanu o ratou tupapaku.
23 A, no ka eke ia ki te kaipuke, ka aru ana akonga i a ia.
24 Na ka tutu te puehu o te moana, a ngaro iho te kaipuke i te ngaru; i te moe hoki ia.
25 A ka haere ana akonga, ka whakaara i a ia, ka mea, E te Ariki, whakaorangia tatou, ka ngaro tatou.
26 A ka mea ia ki a ratou, He aha ta koutou e wehi, e te hunga whakapono iti? Me i reira ka ara ia, a riria iho te hau me te moana; a takoto ana he marino nui.
27 A miharo noa nga tangata, ka mea, He tangata aha tenei, ina, rongo rawa te hau me te moana ki a ia!
28 A, no ka whiti ia ki tarawahi, ki te whenua o nga Kerekehini, ka tutaki ki a ia etahi tangata tokorua e nohoia ana e te rewera, e puta ana mai i roto i nga urupa, he hunga tutu rawa, te taea taua ara te haere e te tangata.
29 Na ka karanga ake raua, ka mea, He aha maua nau, e Ihu, e te Tama a te Atua? kua tae mai oti koe ki te whakamamae i a maua i te mea kahore ano i rite te taima?
30 Na tera tetahi kahui poaka i tawhiti atu i a ratou e kai ana, he tini.
31 A ka inoi nga rewera ki a ia, ka mea, Ki te pei koe i a matou, tukua matou kia haere ki roto ki te kahui poaka.
32 Na ka mea ia ki a ratou, Haere. Na, ko to ratou putanga ki waho, haere ana ki roto ki te kahui poaka; na ko te tino rerenga o te kahui poaka katoa ra te pari ki te moana, a mate iho ki roto ki te wai.
33 Na ka whati nga kaiwhangai, a haere ana ki te pa, korero ana i nga mea katoa, me te meatanga ki te hunga i nohoia e nga rewera.
34 Na puta katoa ana te pa ki waho, ki te whakatau i a Ihu; a ka kite i a ia, ka tohe kia haere atu ia i o ratou wahi.

O leproso purificado(A)
8 E, descendo ele do monte, seguiu-o uma grande multidão. 2 E eis que veio um leproso e o adorou, dizendo: Senhor, se quiseres, podes tornar-me limpo. 3 E Jesus, estendendo a mão, tocou-o, dizendo: Quero; sê limpo. E logo ficou purificado da lepra. 4 Disse-lhe, então, Jesus: Olha, não o digas a alguém, mas vai, mostra-te ao sacerdote e apresenta a oferta que Moisés determinou, para lhes servir de testemunho.
O centurião de Cafarnaum(B)
5 E, entrando Jesus em Cafarnaum, chegou junto dele um centurião, rogando-lhe 6 e dizendo: Senhor, o meu criado jaz em casa paralítico e violentamente atormentado. 7 E Jesus lhe disse: Eu irei e lhe darei saúde. 8 E o centurião, respondendo, disse: Senhor, não sou digno de que entres debaixo do meu telhado, mas dize somente uma palavra, e o meu criado sarará, 9 pois também eu sou homem sob autoridade e tenho soldados às minhas ordens; e digo a este: vai, e ele vai; e a outro: vem, e ele vem; e ao meu criado: faze isto, e ele o faz. 10 E maravilhou-se Jesus, ouvindo isso, e disse aos que o seguiam: Em verdade vos digo que nem mesmo em Israel encontrei tanta fé. 11 Mas eu vos digo que muitos virão do Oriente e do Ocidente e assentar-se-ão à mesa com Abraão, e Isaque, e Jacó, no Reino dos céus; 12 E os filhos do Reino serão lançados nas trevas exteriores; ali, haverá pranto e ranger de dentes. 13 Então, disse Jesus ao centurião: Vai, e como creste te seja feito. E, naquela mesma hora, o seu criado sarou.
A sogra de Pedro(C)
14 E Jesus, entrando na casa de Pedro, viu a sogra deste jazendo com febre. 15 E tocou-lhe na mão, e a febre a deixou; e levantou-se e serviu-os.
16 E, chegada a tarde, trouxeram-lhe muitos endemoninhados, e ele, com a sua palavra, expulsou deles os espíritos e curou todos os que estavam enfermos, 17 para que se cumprisse o que fora dito pelo profeta Isaías, que diz: Ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades e levou as nossas doenças.
Como devemos seguir a Jesus(D)
18 E Jesus, vendo em torno de si uma grande multidão, ordenou que passassem para a outra margem. 19 E, aproximando-se dele um escriba, disse: Mestre, aonde quer que fores, eu te seguirei. 20 E disse Jesus: As raposas têm covis, e as aves do céu têm ninhos, mas o Filho do Homem não tem onde reclinar a cabeça. 21 E outro de seus discípulos lhe disse: Senhor, permite-me que, primeiramente, vá sepultar meu pai. 22 Jesus, porém, disse-lhe: Segue-me e deixa aos mortos sepultar os seus mortos.
Jesus apazigua a tempestade(E)
23 E, entrando ele no barco, seus discípulos o seguiram. 24 E eis que, no mar, se levantou uma tempestade tão grande, que o barco era coberto pelas ondas; ele, porém, estava dormindo. 25 E os seus discípulos, aproximando-se, o despertaram, dizendo: Senhor, salva-nos, que perecemos. 26 E ele disse-lhes: Por que temeis, homens de pequena fé? Então, levantando-se, repreendeu os ventos e o mar, e seguiu-se uma grande bonança. 27 E aqueles homens se maravilharam, dizendo: Que homem é este, que até os ventos e o mar lhe obedecem?
Os endemoninhados gadarenos(F)
28 E, tendo chegado à outra margem, à província dos gadarenos, saíram-lhe ao encontro dois endemoninhados, vindos dos sepulcros; tão ferozes eram, que ninguém podia passar por aquele caminho. 29 E eis que clamaram, dizendo: Que temos nós contigo, Jesus, Filho de Deus? Vieste aqui atormentar-nos antes do tempo? 30 E andava pastando distante deles uma manada de muitos porcos. 31 E os demônios rogaram-lhe, dizendo: Se nos expulsas, permite-nos que entremos naquela manada de porcos. 32 E ele lhes disse: Ide. E, saindo eles, se introduziram na manada dos porcos; e eis que toda aquela manada de porcos se precipitou no mar por um despenhadeiro, e morreram nas águas. 33 Os porqueiros fugiram e, chegando à cidade, divulgaram tudo o que acontecera aos endemoninhados. 34 E eis que toda aquela cidade saiu ao encontro de Jesus, e, vendo-o, rogaram-lhe que se retirasse do seu território.

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy(A)
8 When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy[a](B) came and knelt before him(C) and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone.(D) But go, show yourself to the priest(E) and offer the gift Moses commanded,(F) as a testimony to them.”
The Faith of the Centurion(G)
5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed,(H) suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.(I) 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.(J) 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west,(K) and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.(L) 12 But the subjects of the kingdom(M) will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”(N)
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.”(O) And his servant was healed at that moment.
Jesus Heals Many(P)
14 When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.
16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.(Q) 17 This was to fulfill(R) what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
The Cost of Following Jesus(T)
18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake.(U) 19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man(V) has no place to lay his head.”
21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me,(W) and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Jesus Calms the Storm(X)(Y)
23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith,(Z) why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.(AA)
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Jesus Restores Two Demon-Possessed Men(AB)
28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,[c] two demon-possessed(AC) men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us,(AD) Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”(AE)
30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32 He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34 Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.(AF)
