Healings at Capernaum

¹⁴ Jesus went into Peter’s house^(A) and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. ¹⁵ So he touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began to serve him. ¹⁶ When evening came, they brought to him many who were demon-possessed. He drove out the spirits^(B) with a word and healed all who were sick,^{(C) 17} so that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

²⁹ As^(A) soon as they left the synagogue,^(B) they went into Simon^(C) and Andrew’s^(D) house^(E) with James^(F) and John.^{(G) 30} Simon’s mother-in-law was lying in bed with a fever, and they told him about her at once. ³¹ So he went to her, took her by the hand, and raised her up.^(H) The fever^(I) left her,^[a] and she began to serve^(J) them.^(K)

³⁸ After he left the synagogue, he entered Simon’s house.^(A) Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her.^(B)

³⁹ So he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up immediately^(A) and began to serve them.
