²¹ “^(A)Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. ^22 (B)Many will say to Me on ^(C)that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many ^[a]miracles?’ ²³ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; ^(D)leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

The Two Foundations

²⁴ “Therefore, ^(E)everyone who hears these words of Mine, and ^[b]acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ And the rain fell and the ^[c]floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

^28 [a]For ^(A)we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works ^[b]of the Law.

⁵ But to the one who does not work, but ^(A)believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,

¹⁷ “^(A)You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; ^(B)you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his female slave, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
