³¹ So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ ³² For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. ³³ But seek first the kingdom of God^[a](A) and his righteousness,^(B) and all these things will be provided for you.^{(C) 34} Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble^(D) of its own.

²⁹ Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious. ³⁰ For the Gentile world eagerly seeks^(A) all these things, and your Father^(B) knows that you need them.

³¹ “But seek his kingdom,^(C) and these things will be provided for you.^{(D) 32} Don’t be afraid,^(E) little flock,^(F) because your Father delights^(G) to give you the kingdom.^{(H) 33} Sell^(I) your possessions and give to the poor.^(J) Make money-bags^(K) for yourselves that won’t grow old, an inexhaustible treasure^(L) in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. ³⁴ For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.^(M)
