²⁸ “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. ²⁹ Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor^(A) was dressed like one of these. ³⁰ If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?^(B)

²⁴ Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them.^(A) And how much more valuable you are than birds!

²⁸ Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One^(A) who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

³¹ But seek his kingdom,^(A) and these things will be given to you as well.^(B)

³² “Do not be afraid,^(C) little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.^{(D) 33} Sell your possessions and give to the poor.^(E) Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven^(F) that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.^{(G) 34} For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.^(H)
