Matthew 5:6-12

⁶ “Blessed are those who hunger and ^(A)thirst ^(B)for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

⁷ “Blessed are ^(C)the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

⁸ “Blessed are ^(D)the pure in heart, for ^(E)they shall see God.

⁹ “Blessed are ^(F)the peacemakers, for ^(G)they shall be called ^(H)sons^[a] of God.

^10 (I)“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for ^(J)theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

^11 (K)“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely ^(L)on my account. ^12 (M)Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for ^(N)so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
