⁵ “Blessed are the ^(A)meek, for they ^(B)shall inherit the earth.

⁶ “Blessed are those who hunger and ^(C)thirst ^(D)for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

⁷ “Blessed are ^(E)the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

⁸ “Blessed are ^(F)the pure in heart, for ^(G)they shall see God.

⁹ “Blessed are ^(H)the peacemakers, for ^(I)they shall be called ^(J)sons^[a] of God.

^10 (K)“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for ^(L)theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
