25 Hvis nogen anklager dig for ikke at have betalt, hvad du skylder, så få et forlig i stand, inden det er for sent. Ellers bliver du slæbt i retten, og dommeren overgiver dig til retsbetjenten, som sætter dig i fængsel. 26 Det siger jeg dig: Du slipper ikke ud derfra, før du har betalt alt, hvad du skylder.

25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
